2017 FMRL World Cup qualification
The FMRL is pleased to announce that after a one year hiatus, the World Cup will return and be hosted in 2017 by Vyktory. Since the previous competition, Novatainia and Safiria have left the FMRL, and the Florian Republic, who will host the 2018 edition, have joined.
The competition will continue with the format of the previous edition, with 10 teams in all qualifying, the top 2 finishers in 2015, the hosts, Vyktory, and 7 other teams.

Re: 2017 FMRL World Cup qualification
Well, the Florian fans are not happy!
Florian Republic Fans riot after humiliating defeat to Gerenia
Florian fans were seen rioting after the Florian Republic lost 40-6 to Gerenia, which is considered an embarrassment considering how the popular the sport is in the country. Action towards the fans will be decided in a few days time. Bottles and other missiles were thrown at the players and approx. nine people were injured in the event. Due to the anger of Florian fans, the Florian Head Coach James Noble has been ousted. In his departure, highly respected coach, Jack Rowley (the current manager of League One champions, The Wolfpack) has been appointed as interim coach. After the defeat, Jack Rowley has made significant changes to the squad which now includes players from Florian Super League Champions, Northcliff Vikings. The pressure is high for Jack Rowley as the Florian Republic MUST win against Lamantia to keep their qualifying hopes alive. If the Florian Republic lose they will be knocked out of the competition. Also, the Florian Republic will have to have a larger points difference to overtake Lamantia IF they beat them next week.
