Re: MicrOlympics
CJ, how are you proposing we manage to include these real-life Olympic sports?
Re: MicrOlympics
I have spreadsheets for scoring them, and we can have one thread for roleplaying the competition and another for results. That's how it's done on NS, at least.

Well, I'm having a stroll around Wikipedia - no idea of what bandy or carnogie could possibly be.

Who will be running each sport? I assume, stuff like Football, Baseball, Rugby & Skiing can all be organised by their respective associations, but the rest of them?
We should refer to it as Association Football.Soccer
Re: MicrOlympics
Perhaps associations for those sports could be created.Senya wrote:Who will be running each sport? I assume, stuff like Football, Baseball, Rugby & Skiing can all be organised by their respective associations, but the rest of them?

Re: MicrOlympics
If we want this to be a reputable MicrOlympics along the same vein as the original, we shouldn't simulate results. For something like this, we need to have the events competed for properly. Okay, it means we probably won't have the same sports as the real Olympics, as we'd use web-based computer games, but why should we have the same events anyway?
The original MicrOlympics was awesome because we had actual people competing and people didn't have to necessarily even be interested in sports to compete. If we end-up just doing the same old simulations that we always do, it just seems like a waste of time to me...
