Sounds like surrender verging on abdication to me.

Gascony is
Gascony occupied by forces of Shireroth and Batavia. The MoMa of Shireroth and the commander of the Batavian forces are the effective rulers of Gascony.

You really don't understand the concept of 'war' do you?KingEdward wrote:Having never recieved a declaration of war and as i never signed a charter i'm not obliged to accept that your troops are even on my soil, as far as the Kingdom of Bosworth is concerned there are no enemy forces in Gascony and as we own the Duchy what we say goes.

Ah, but you can't pull that one. What you didn't sign was a charter that says they're obliged NOT to claim. What you did do was entire, encourage, and, in fact, actively start the concept of the war in an out-of-charter manner. By deliberately not accepting a charter which would have said "no land control changes" you open yourself up to the possibility of claims*. And by entering and fighting in the war you have to recognise stuff has happened ...KingEdward wrote:Having never recieved a declaration of war and as i never signed a charter i'm not obliged to accept that your troops are even on my soil, as far as the Kingdom of Bosworth is concerned there are no enemy forces in Gascony and as we own the Duchy what we say goes.
*That's not to say Shireroth or Batavie will actually try to claim your MCS land anytime soon, or that, even if they did, the Council would let them. But it's a possibility.

It would be more than reasonable to allow Shireroth and Batavia to claim he Gasconic land and for it to be given to them. Bosworth rushed foolishly into a war, and they must pay the price for it. Had they read the small print, and bothered to do ar with the enemy under a charter, then their lands would have been safe, as Andreas says, and it would all have been for fun. As they didn't, any land which was invaded, ownership of that is assumed to have been transferred to the invading nation.

No! No! We don't want the land (not that it's a bad place to claim, but it isn't really fun if you take the land away)!babs wrote:It would be more than reasonable to allow Shireroth and Batavia to claim he Gasconic land and for it to be given to them. The Occupation of Gascony is not a permanent affair, nor is it a claim, but rather a temporary state of affairs pending the resolution of the conflict with the defeated party in a fashion that does not resemble talking in a patronising fashion to a particularly stupid child.
Talking of which, is it me or has "Edward" been posting more frequently since he announced his LOA than during the actual period when he was allegedly in charge?
