Hello.
Hi Guys,
I used to be part of the micronational community a while ago I originally became involved through Lovely (Danny Wallace's tv micronation thing) then moving on to create my own nations, which for the life of me I can't remember the names of. I then became a citizen of Jamzinia spending most of my time there, King James of Jamzinia and Spangle are the only names I can recall from that time.
Are these people still active here? I know James left but did he return?
Are there any other people still here from that time?
Thanks
Kris

Re: Hello.
Having had a look around I see that Craitman is still active in these part and that this post is probably in the wrong place.

Re: Hello.
Bloody hell, it's Kris! The last I saw of James was probably about five years ago now, and Spangle stopped being majorly involved here around late 2011. Apart from me, there's still a fair few people left from back in the day (Ryan, Pawel, Benkern, Andreas immediately come to mind), but I'm not sure how much interaction you would have had with them then
Re: Hello.
That must of been around the time I left I don't think I was long after James. The names don't ring a bell but that's not to say I didn't have any interactions with them.
I see Craitland is still going strong, has there been much change in the Micronational world?

Spoiler!
Re: Hello.
Nice to meet you I shall look to check out Senya. When I was around previously most of the nations existed online on forums is this still the case? or has micronationalism moved into social networks?
Re: Hello.
About half are forums and half are wiki nations I'd say. Senya's sort of half wiki nation half real life thing. We've played a couple of real life football matches, for example.Kris wrote:Nice to meet you I shall look to check out Senya. What does a wiki nation involve?
That's impressive how many citizens does Senya have?

Re: Hello.
You'd probably be more familiar with names of their respective nations, but, alas, most of those aren't going anymoreKris wrote:That must of been around the time I left I don't think I was long after James. The names don't ring a bell but that's not to say I didn't have any interactions with them.
I'm not sure about "strong", but I guess our recent problems have spurred a bit of life back into Craitland! While Barnaby's summation is effectively right with nations using wikis a lot more nowadays, that's more of a general overview of both secessionist and simulationist nations. Some wiki-based nations do claim on Micras, but these parts are still very much more forum-orientated for activity. Other than that, Babkha and Antica are now both dead, Shireroth has been split, reunified and split again, and a fair amount of the older/closely-related nations now share a forum - that's possibly all the major things that have gone-on since Jamzinia's demiseI see Craitland is still going strong, has there been much change in the Micronational world?
Re: Hello.
Ooo! A fossil is reanimated it seems. I'm Ryker, rather new member of the hobby and current Kaiser of Shireroth.
Re: Hello.
I definitely remember Shireroth now I have seen the name. Sharing Forums seems like a good idea especially in terms of increasing activity which was always a problem, i'm pretty sure I remember Spangle spending most of his time trying to make many nations forums look more active.
Has micronationalism's popularity stayed the same? Are many new nations replacing the old ones?
Nice to meet you Ryker.

Re: Hello.
I'd say popularity has stayed pretty much the same for micronationalism on the whole, but this community has seen numbers slowly dwindle. Any newcomers are generally converts from real-land-claiming nations, although Ryker bucks that trendKris wrote:Has micronationalism's popularity stayed the same? Any new nations on Micras tend to be start-ups or side-projects of existing micronationalists if not from MicroWiki, but there's a steady stream of new secessionist nations otherwise elsewhere...
