For anyone interested in debating this attack
I'm accusing you of war crimes: attacking a civilian population. You attacked a city that had no military presence until your military arrived there, with no reason to do so other than to kill those in the city. You will be put on trial by the Novan court, at a time TBD, if deemed necessary.
Considering that this city is in my domain, i consider it my responsibility to respond here. Unfortunately for you, I'm dual novan-tokian citizen; thereby applying novan laws to the realm that I command.extreme007 wrote: X-3

Captain John Border looked out of his window as the last group of missiles left his ship. He then signalled his signals officer to send a signal to the carrier ship, X-1000, informing them that the first part of the plan was completed. This was important. The supreme commander of the group wanted to be acknowledged of every little part of the plan immediately. And John didn't want to dissappoint Him on his first mission under Him. The plan was His. And what a plan it was.

You can't put him on trial unless he recognises the authority of the court, as it isn't an internationally recognised court, and hence it's unlikely you'll get anywhere with this.

True. Unless the people who hire him give up at the end of the war or they completely capitulate he's not going to go there.
Extreme, I did warn you. But also consider that if you want any help defending yourself, I'm only a post away.

You'll have my response soon. I just saw this thread first. Will see the others and then post.
EDIT:
Demon Of North - i struck three of your cities. And am stealing things from Damev and not Port Of Sails. And are your "cities" all villages? Cause the MCS map kind of showed them as cities/towns.
Well, if they are small villages, am i correct in guessing like fishing/farming villages with huts or other such structures. Like all the Vietnam war movies show of a Vietnam village. Correct? If so, then assume the attack wasn't really focused on anything specific. Just general and covering the entire city to cause as much damage.
Also, you said the only airfield was at Damev? Well, then that's the one i am trying to get possession of.
Longbow - I am assuming you are talking about Makaharan or whatever that city is called (i would check, but my internet is painfully slow and unreliable). Is this also a village? or a proper modern city? Adjust the damage accordingly.
I'll give you two another 24 hours to post damages and other things.

Sirthi ShortBow had a long tiring day at work. He was looking forward for his upcoming holidays and the planned family trip to the nearby camping area. He looked over his dinner plate and saw his two girls giggling and trying to hide their smiles. He then caught his wife doing the same. He gave a puzzling look back at the them, only for his wife to pick up the napkin and wipe his face. Some tomato sauce had fallen on his beard. The kids couldn't control their laughter anymore and gave in. Sirthi and his wife joined them soon. But then suddenly, all became quiet again as Sirthi's attention got diverted towards the television set.
"Good evening. In today's top stories, our brave men are leading the fight against the enemies and pushing them into the seas. We are told that the airforce and ground units have secured several of the Jasonian Islands. The enemy is no..."
BOOM!
And then the tv went black. So did the lights. It was all replaced by the screams of the two girls. Sirthi and his wife tried to calm the two children, giving them comfort in saying that the parents were still there and that nothing was going to happen. After about a minute or two, the screams stopped and were replaced by feelings of 'now what?'. Sirthi had a similar feeling. Now what was happening? What was that large explosion noise? He walked to his balcony and looked out. It was night time and he could hardly see anything. The rest of the city was also without lights. It seemed like a total blackout. And then he noticed it. At first, he thought it was a cloud, but then it became clear. It was a black smoke rising from the power plants that were supply electricity to the entire region. The entire facility was blown up. Then a couple more explosions in other parts of the city.
Somewhere in Damev,
Furfein Tosha conMakain,
Toketi
Two dark Ospreys hovered over the tree tops and quickly came to a rest in the middle of a small clearing. The doors were opened and even before the helicopter came to a complete stop, figures began jumping out the rear and taking up positions nearby. Then suddenly, as soon as the Osprey came to a stop, a Patria AMV drove out of the rear of each Osprey, followed by several more men in dark suits. Overhead, four AH-64D attack helicopters roared in and began firing their lethal weapons. Within five minutes, the two Patrias and the special forces men began heading for the nearby guarded building. Everything was going to plan and to the minute.

"Sir, X-1 reports completion of their task. X-3, X-4 had already reported.". The well-built officer spoke.
"Good." was the reply. The tone was authorative, yet calm.
"Sir, we got contact from Golden Baby. The paratroopers have dropped in at the airport at Yaskhona. They have begun their operations of controlling. They are facing some opposition, but they say they can handle it. They expect the airbase under our control in a few hours."
"Operation Skywalker?"
"The special forces have landed sir. They report the intel was correct. Very little opposition. Richness expected." The officer noticed the smile on His face as the last two words were spoken. Though he didn't understand it why, he didn't bother asking the question. But that was too late. The young officer had stood there staring at Him for a little too long.
"You want to why I am smiling?"
"No sir. I uh..."
"You think I did not notice you noticing me smiling?"
"No sir. er Yes. si. no.. No sir"
"Yes? No? No? Yes?"
The officer was sweating now. The cabin room was already hot and worse, His presence was making it even harder to breath easily.
"A little time ago, a group that called itself NUMBERS, broke into this building," He pointed to one of the satellite photos, "and stole several radical technology weapons equipment. Unfortunately, the group didn't realise that the equipment came with self-destruct mechanisms. We do. And we paid good money to figure out what that mechanism is, how its operated and the likes. Skywalker is designed to steal these equipment and this time, avoid losing those systems because of the self-destruct. Lucky for us, the Tokens are busy fightings in Jasonia. There's not many troops here. And those that are, will take about a day or two to get to us. I expect us to be out of here within 24 hours. We came. We saw. We stole. And we brought hell."
Summary:
I haven't mentioned the exact details in the above story, as this is a surprise attack, and thus, you wouldn't know what the hell is going on until you get a decent news from the area.
I have fired missiles at the power stations, communications (tv, radio, newspaper stations etc..) and fire brigades stations (the place where you house the fire fighting personnel and vehicles) at Damev, Yaskhona, Port of Sails and Makaronan. Assume 10 to 15 missiles per city.
Paratroopers landed at the airport at Yaskhona. They are going about killing the ground staff and security forces. They are aided by 2 A-10s, 1 AC-130, 2 AH-64D and 2 eurofighters (anti-ground weapons onboard). 2 raptor are providing anti-air cover. AEW/AWACS provided near Yaskhona. the eurofighters and a-10s came in first to clear out the radar and AA units. followed by the rest to suppress the enemy and destroy them.
2 Raptors, 2 Eurofighters, all carrying anti-ground weapons (like HARMs and bombs), strike at the airports at Damev and Port of Sails. Their mission is to render it un-useable. They are firing from outside the range of normal AA.
X-1000 (carrier) is near Tanyara (or the island on which this city is), but in international/Toketi waters. subs nearby providing defense.
X-3 near Makaronan. X-1, X-2 inbetween Yaskhona and Port of Sails. X-4 east of Port of Sails.
Edit:
I forgot to mention in summary that my special forces have attacked a facility/building in Damev that houses some Toketi units. The plan is to acquire blueprints or working examples of Chelkran Battle Suits, Chelkran Powered Battle Armor, Zetix Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) Armor, Drop Cubes, CheLat MPR-07 Mutable Combat Weapon, Satyr Combat Armor, Kensai Ninja Armor, Longbow Mk IV Missile System, CAA Corvus-class Gunships, Wildfire Chelkran Battle Tanks, Cerberus Main Battle Tanks, Keshian Templars (or the equipments on them).
Basically anything that is uniquely Toketi.

Re: extreme007
I think this is silly. I move to have Extreme stealing the documents classified as backstory, on the account that everyone agrees they won't actually affect this war in any way (ie we're not allowing the use of futuristic weapons, and if we were, Extreme could just dream up his own futuristic weapons without RPing stealing the technology.) Because it's backstory, the consensus reality doesn't apply.

Re: extreme007
from another thread,
you are more than welcome to send a unit to retrieve it. do understand that if you send like wildfire tanks or that longbow robot type thing or some super-advanced super-elite super-soldiers, i should be able to shoot 1 bullet at them and kill it.
yes. you could say that. the point being? What were trying to say is, you obviously did this for something. Since you wouldn't be able to add new units this war, you must be getting the plans to try and understand how they work and how to destroy them more easily.
yes. and i wouldn't mind it at all, so long as its feasible. not something like, "we activate self-destruct". infact, i wouldn't mind if you make up a temporary military unit to get these items back, as long as you realise that if in combat with my orbatted-unit, you will lose your non-orbated-combat units quickly. you could however, kill some minor personnel. like say for instance, you somehow got onto a ship, then you could kill one of the mechanics or a cook or something. i wont have a problem with that, but if you kill an officer or a pilot or some of my infantry units, then yes, i might have a problem with that.No. I'm arguing that since what you've stolen is non-combat units, non-combat units should be able to recover them. Under the allowable reality of the war and all that.

Re: extreme007
Can we go back to the part where
EDIT: Allow me to elaborate. You saw the topic in Furfein where NUMBER (i.e. Fides) tried to steal those items from Silverfang Outpost. Now, Silverfang Outpost is the home of the Silverfang Wolves - may I point out that the Silverfang Wolves are currently deployed in my OrBat? The tech you are trying to steal is currently in use during this war. If you want to try and steal it, you'd have to get it from active, OrBatted units.
please?NONE - absolutely NONE - of that tech is kept in Furfein Tosha conMakain, except maybe a few MPR-07s which would be in the hands of North's military, none of whom may I point out are currently there.

Vilhelm and I have yet to discuss this issue but for the moment I don't think he'll object to the following measures:
1. No actions will be taken to recover the stolen items.
2. No actions will be taken to use the stolen items.

We can't recover them? Why? Extreme said he was happy with a backstory attempt to recover them (on the condition, obviously, that backstory units are very vulnerable to any orbatted units)

yeah, i'd be more than happy to help you recover them.. but that doesn't mean i am just going to give it back freely. it means, come fight it out from me. or 'steal' it from me.. or like that...

Re: extreme007
And I'm going to do it in a thoroughly Novatainia/Tokian way ....
(though I gather that a serious combat force from Toketi is being assembled to actually hunt you down afterwards. Obviously my non-combat stuff can at best recover the things, and can't hope to do damage to your actual force).

Okay, listen, until one of the Judges specifically says to me "he has successfully stolen your stuff, that's a final judge's decision", I'm going to CONTINUE arguing the point that NONE of that stuff was even THERE when he went in to take it. The Silverfang Wolves are currently deployed and have taken that equipment with them. The only people at the Outpost are unarmed auxiliaries, like janitorial staff and kitchen staff and whatever. No military units or equipment are there.Lord_Montague wrote:Vilhelm and I have yet to discuss this issue but for the moment I don't think he'll object to the following measures:
