Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
Exactly. Putting the claim on hold means no new votes can be cast, and Council members are perfectly within their rights to amend their votes while the process is still active, so all of that can change once voting be reopened in three weeks' timeYastreb wrote:So you want me to suspend the claim for three weeks to avoid the whole stripey business at all... I get you. The problem being, the claim is already mid-vote and you've attached the condition of 'disputed' status to your vote (as has Barnaby, it would seem).
Fantastic, hopefully that goes smoothly, and this can all progress correctly come the 29th!Anyway, as the whole Minarborian coup thing appears to be a prerequisite, I've gone ahead and begun it. Shrub have mercy.
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
Very well. You may consider my claim officially suspended until that date.
Of the Minarborians on roll, Ardy has already kindly indicated his lack of opposition (a gracious move, considering the Dantean hell of a citizenship process we made him endure for little tangible benefit). With any luck, other such statements and/or comforting silence will see us through to a vaguely untroubled conclusion.
Not many people have taken on the Craitgod and been able to claim a draw, so I'll take that result Well played. I need a stiff whisky.

Perfect! I'll join you with that whisky and drink to more Ardy-esque reactions, if any at all
ON HOLD...
ON HOLD...
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
I've lost my login credentials on Shy's forum but as a co-founder and current citizen of Minarboria, I support this claim and the coup.

Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
As per the Notice of Appropriation, there are no objections from me with regards to Krasniy's claims. I do, however, object to Harald jumping on the bandwagon - especially his so-called claim over Treisenberg. If the lands are to be split then, as co-founder and Prince of Treisenberg, I will personally assert guardianship over those lands until Rossheim's return.
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
As Minarborian Appropriator I've officially submitted the objection on your behalf - your previous involvement in Treisenberg aside, I consider you to have the priority claim as a Minarborian.Orion wrote:As per the Notice of Appropriation, there are no objections from me with regards to Krasniy's claims. Out of interest, do you intend to assert said guardianship through a Treisenberger secession, or its retention in a rump Minarboria, or something else? Personally I'd prefer the former - it'd be safe in Minarborian hands for a month while you organise a secession - but it's up to you (I'll be standing down as Appropriator when the Kalgachi claim passes). Let me know what your intentions are.
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
I'm open to whatever scenario is most favorable to Minarboria. Eventually I envision a restored Principality of Treisenberg which will guard and enhance its rich culture and heritage, while at the same time safeguarding it should Rossheim decide to resume the mantle. The slower month-long approach actually works more favorably, as I'm headed out for a week-long family vacation as of tomorrow (these events always have such fortuitous timing).
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
Tragically there's not really a Minarboria to be favourable to any more - my focus at this stage is arranging a dignified future for its constituent parts (half of which are older than the Shrub Himself - much older in Treisenberg's case).
The month I mentioned was the period between a hypothetical Treisenberger secession and it being eligible to claim on the MCS map - moves would need to be made in that direction before the end of August so it has time to get on its feet before Minarboria proper completes its auto-removal timeout (sprucing up your old contributions to the wiki article with a reference to formal secession would do the trick, I'd imagine).
It's up to you whether you want to extend your claim into the Cibolan mainland as per your recent complaint to Harald (speaking of which, you have my condolences on losing Mishalan - Kalgachia has offered shelter to any refugees lucky enough to escape) although there is the matter of how much land His Craitness will allow you to claim as a one-man band.
Jeez, dismantling empires is a complicated business

Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
Lo, the 29th is upon us - I hereby re-activate Kalgachia's claim with the Minarborian assent that I'm now qualified to give.
For the information of the curious, I'll be keeping Minarboria appropriated until the foreign claims and the Treisenberg situation are settled - and provided Kalgachia's current claim is accepted, I'll be filing to expand it at some point before Minarboria's removal (nothing major; its potential size is constrained by the limits of the local mountain geography).

Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
As can be seen, I've re-started Treisenberg's forum.
Re: Kalgachia secession from MIN
Thankee very much, gents... I can start working on a detailed map now
