It looks pleasant but hides the archives and other tools. Which I thought was one of the key strengths of the CS.

Yes, from a desktop perspective especially, it would be better for that sidebar to be visible, I agree. Bear in mind that the mirror site is not the full CS site - I just grabbed my authored posts for testing purposes instead of the entire DB.

(Edit: I've enabled it on the main site to provide a more complete picture. Haven't started playing with any of the code yet to change the sidebar action).

This was a really nice article. Once the tournament is complete, I wouldn't mind help writing a summary article! Additionally, I really like the new theme's aesthetics, though as Rasmus pointed out the hiding of the archives could be frustrating when looking for previous articles.

I look forward to anything you can help contribute at the end of the World Cup, especially as I'll be in the midst of some macronational travels at that time!

Ah, that's fair enough. My hope had been to release it in html format so that I could upload to the web, but it ended up being a little bigger than most sites are willing to allow. My goal for Part II will definitely be to keep the overall size of the game to a minimum.
