Leng still needs killing, it could be outlawed by 3 council mmebers or 27 member states saying so, according to the charter.
any ideas?
Land compensation could be given to whoever owned it

Unless Leng goes back into Amokolian hands, I concur.

We've tried long ago, and people making that exact same specious argument have stopped us. Thwart us now, it'll just be there even longer the next time.
The Pope apologized for arresting Galileo four hundred years after it happened. It's never too late to right a mistake.

But was he "unarrested"?Scott Alexander wrote:The Pope apologized for arresting Galileo four hundred years after it happened. It's never too late to right a mistake.
So we should apologise for it being added?
I don't mind it being removed as long as there's considerably more people opposing it, I just think it's been there long enough that it'd look ridiculous removing it just like that, especially when nations currently claim it.
Could it not just be that it was discovered under the ice without previously being known to exist, then added to maps? Makes more sense having a logical backstory like that to it rather than it suddenly disappearing after existing and being claimed...

Re: Leng
And thanks to Aster, we now have a logical backstory for removing it

Re: Leng
Yeah, I'll agree with that as long as it is logical for it to destroy Leng and have no other effects on the rest of Micras. S'pose we do have a few nations to whack a magical forcefield around the area or something

Re: Leng
when this ryan nation has 3 months under 1 PPD we shall have to suggest a dexpansion off leng, if there are 3 months of 0 PPD, we shall have to remove and destroy leng immediately
of course, a 50% vote of council or 75% vote of members could amend the charter to declair it illegal and for it to be removed.
