I have a question: is there some means by which I can run an idea past the MCS Committee (or one of its members) to see if it is reasonable, before submitting a formal request? Only I would appreciate a little guidance regarding what is acceptable before I waste the committee's time...

Probably you could just ask Craitman through PM - well, I could have a look at it, but I don't guarantee anything

I'd suggest the same that Pawel said. PM'ing me has been done a few times before regarding uncertainties with claims, but I'm sure any of the other Council members would be happy to talk about these kinds of things if I'm unavailable
