After arriving in Zandarijn to begin their World Cup preparations, EMU 13 champions Interland and Craitland played a long-awaited friendly as the first ever international match held in the newly-built Kuip Stadium in Nieuw Rotterdam. While both teams used their final tournament squads, there was one special place reserved in Craitland's for legend Yaqin Senovichi, who, despite not making the squad, earned his 100th cap in this match; the first Crait to reach this milestone. What followed the kick-off was an absolute goal-fest which bettered their showing in the EMU 12 semi-finals. After beating Hamland for their first ever title ten days prior, the Interlandians were on the back foot at the start, and Hänä Zensen finished-off the first Craitish attack with a first-time effort from the edge of the area after being fed by Freddie Gaärsen with Jan Kepp off his line. Gaärsen scored the team's second a quarter of an hour later, this time with Zensen as provider, as the pacy forward swept home past Kepp from the left side of the goal. Interland hit back in the second stage of the first half, thanks to Jerzy Golański's brace. The striker's first came five after Gaärsen's, with the ball being nodded down where Oscar Senovichi couldn't reach from Dariusz Drzewny's teasing corner, and the second hit the back of the net after Golański let rip from Marian Wyzywan's sidefooted pass in the "D" and into the top-right corner before the break. Half time welcomed a substitute a side, as Ben Viĵoa replaced Zensen, who received a booking first half, and Wyzywan left the field for Marcin Orwolski. Viĵoa made the more rapid impact, restoring the Craits' lead ten minutes in with a skilled run around clubmate Krzysztof Łukasz and delayed finish through the legs of Kepp. Orwolski then responded shortly after, putting in the second header of the game after Filip Maskat's looped cross evaded Paulio Demhivo for the forward to glance it inside Senovichi's left-hand post. Within three minutes, Interland went ahead for the first time; Orwolski and Maskat were involved once more, with the latter following-up the former's shot well after Senovichi had palmed it back into the danger zone as Maskat approached. As the game progressed, manager's son Olivier Dermäna came-on for Hjaņ Herä before an unusual passage of play occurred. Krzysztof Łukasz was on the ball in the Interland defence when Tim Isrdlvarien fouled him, which saw the striker booked. Łukasz then took the resulting free-kick, but hit it accidentally straight towards Isrdlvarien, who took possession and made a run forward, which was abruptly halted by Łukasz's own foul just inside the box. Łukasz was also booked, and the penalty gave Yaqin Senovichi the perfect chance to mark his century with a goal, which the 32 year-old obliged, tucking it simplistically into the bottom-right as Kepp stayed unmoved. A triple replacement happened soon after the eighth goal; Jon-Jan Jónsen replaced Isrdlvarien, who took a knock for the penalty decision, while Interland had Władysław Ojczewicz and Stanisław Bońka take the places of Mariusz Gazetowicz and Oskar Łapacz, respectively. As the final ten began, Interland found more space and an opportunity arose when Alexis Proteņ couldn't keep-up with Ojczewicz and gave-away a free kick on the right. Drzewny stepped-up and gained a third assist in the game as his slower ball in curled away from the crowd near the six-yard line and found Bońka, who had time to touch and shoot low at goal. Even though the ball seemed to take a small touch off the thigh of Dermäna as he moved to guard, Bońka was rewarded the goal which decided the match, despite Craitland's best efforts at the end to score a fifth themselves.

Re: Craitland vs. Interland (31/07)
That was truly a goal fest. I'm beginning to regret not being able to be there in person - state head's duties are so binding. Anyway, that was a good match and I will wish the best outcome for both teams (unless Craitland faces Interland, of course ;P )
