EMUFA Champions' League final
This game took a while to warm up but when it eventually did it exploded, in a match that definately was a game of two halves.. Alex Danelon gave Morfaga the lead 9 minutes before half time after Ƨinkœ Zvet whipped in a great cross into the box from out on the right. However, with just 6 minutes gone in the second, Leonard Pearson's ambitious was played through with a ball over the top of the defence that he poked beyond the keeper to level the scores. That only lasted for 11 minutes, when Ian O'Hara and Ray Johnstone combined to play in Benjamin Craig who restored clarity. Things then turned bleak for the Mercurians when Craig converted a penalty after defender James Cameron was sent off for handling an O'Hara shot on the line, before Darcy flicked the ball into the net following a goal-mouth scramble off a free-kick. However, when in the final moments of the game, Bohemian Rhapsodies, needing a goal to equalise, sent keeper David Poynting up for a corner, Morfaga cleared and Ƨinkœ Zvet applied the pace as he ran through unchallenged to the edge of the "D" with the opponents still sprinting back from the other penalty area, before rolling the ball into the empty net to seal Morfaga's second ever EMUFA Champions' League title.
