2016 Confederational Host Bidding
As October has already hit us, it's time to open up the application process for hosting next year's confederational tournaments! For the first time ever, each region's finals will take centre stage next summer with no World Cup being held as part of the FMF's new scheduling. As such, the format for these competitions has changed slightly.
While qualifiers will be held over the same period as normal, a new Confederations Cup will be started over the same period in which the holders and hosts of each regional championships will compete in place of qualifying, having received automatic berths in their respective finals. Therefore, not only will the successful hosts get to stage their own tournament, their team will also have a chance at official silverware before it's even started!
Another change this time around concerns the CTFA, which will see CiboTap held by just one host for the first time since 2007 and its format completely separated from the confederation's World Cup qualifying rounds.
While all four tournament sizes and berths have yet to be finalised - with the end-of-year rankings and membership numbers to dictate that - the FMF would like to suggest that any interested nations tailor their bids for the possibility of hosting a tournament involving twelve teams; which is likely to be the largest field each could see. Any adjustments needed to cater for a smaller tournament shall be made once the hosts have been announced and qualification organised.
This bidding process shall remain open for twelve weeks and any bids received afterDecember 26th November 28th will be disregarded. Successful hosts will then be announced shortly afterwards, following an FMF Executive vote, before the draws for each confederation's qualifying rounds are made in the days after. Qualification will begin on the last Wednesday of January and will take place over the same period of time as the familiar World Cup rounds.
Could any prospective hosts please complete the form below with as much relevant information as possible and, at your discretion, any factors which make your bid more suitable than any others!
EDIT: Deadline changed.

Number of Stadiums: 10
Government: Constitutional Monarchy
Number of Leagues: 7 tiers, 12 leagues, 64 teams.

Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?:
IC: Vyktory, since arriving on Micras in late 2014 has been growing from strength to strength in the FMF, winning all but two of their matches in World Cup Qualifying and then going out unluckily to Flanders on away goals in the Interconfederational Playoff. The strongest of the three so called "Galatian Nations", Vyktory is an up and coming competitor in the CTFA. The nation itself is a liberal's paradise and is also well known for it's thriving technology industry. Vyktory is home to around 13.1 million people, many of whom are sports mad. Hosting the CiboTap in 2016 would be the biggest honour the nation has ever held.
OOC: James Knight, OOC leader of Vyktory is known throughout the Micras coommunity as an enthusiastic micronationalist. He has opened relatiions with Hamland, Mercury, Natopia, Alexandria, Shireroth and Craitland and was a good ally of Safiria before they dissolved. Re: 2016 Confederational Host Bidding
Nation Name: Lakkvia
Association: AEFA
Number of Stadiums: 6Leader: King Craitman of Craitland
- Hurmu Ground (30,000), Vesüha
- Vesühavien Järvistadion (20,000), Vesüha
- Fiskjarmannastadion (15,000), Fiskjarmannastrand
- Guardian Stadium (15,000), Pojoinenkaupunki*
- Kaupang Stadion (10,000), Pikkaupang*
- Valboomuus Stadion (10,000), Valboomuus*
Government: Parliamentary territory under constitutional monarchy
Number of Leagues: 1
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 8
Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?:
Lakkvia was built around football. It is the spiritual continuation of Hurmu, a nation which had a strong history within the FMF. From four World Cup appearances, culminating in a quarter-final finish against many odds, to an affinity with the Copa Apollonia; winning the trophy and also taking a third place in its only two showings in the AEFA's showpiece, Hurmu holds a nostalgic place in the FMF's heart. As Hurmu's spirit flows in Lakkvia, we have seen our new team adopt many Hurmudan stars, and qualify for a tournament in each of the past two years; continuing in Hurmu's footsteps by making the World Cup knock-out rounds on our début. Lakkvia would also not be here without arguably the greatest name in Micrasian football; Craitland, of whom we are a part as an autonomous territory.
Outside of football, Lakkvia itself is a magical land where myth and truth are not so easily separated. The holy lakes which intersect our territory are famous Micras-wide, with Arquous, Cashma, Danuck and Nemb wholly within or bordered by our lands and dominating Lakkvia's geography. The site of the legendary Hurmu Gate - whose powers were rumoured to include a portal between other realms - can also be found in Lakkvia and is a major tourist destination for many from across Micras.
Combining the ancient history of Micras with the cultural phenomenon of football to create a meeting place for all the peoples across Apollonia and Eura to join together makes perfect sense to us Lakkvians, and we hope you agree!

Number of Stadiums: 6Leader: President Barnaby Hands
- Space City Stadium (50,000), Space City

Number of Teams in Premier Division: 8
Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?: Fort Kolgrad is developing into a hub of sports, leisure and science on the shores of Lake Lamantia. Our stadiums are situated in six cities that show off all of this fantastic regions, be it the lake-side towns of Colgrad, Nordkamp and Redditch, the highland cities of Fort Kolgrad and Space City, or Bergdorf, the ultimate winter getaway well into the southern mountains. Fort Kolgrad is a friendly place for all Apollonians. Whilst Nordkamp and Fort Kolgrad are in the so called "Military District", in reality, they are far from the firing ranges and test areas, and these cities are just like any other, with many civilians living peacefully.
Our successful hosting of the Rugby League World Cup this summer showed to the world what a fantastic place Fort Kolgrad is, and we hope that the world will once again descend on our beautiful land for a sports competition.
Whilst fans are away in Fort Kolgrad, they can experience a variety of activities, being watersports on the lake, relaxing at the beach, or hiking in the mountains, there is something for everyone here in the Apollonian home of leisure.

Leader: Governor-General Llywelyn Lewis
Government: "Crowned Republic" The throne is vacant.
Number of Leagues: 1 professional national league.
Number of Teams in Premier Division: 12
Why do you think you deserve to host the competition?: Calbion is not only a culturally rich nation that has maintained its national identity over the years, but it is also a nation that breathes sports and competition. Historically, sports have been important in the development of the Calbain culture, which is a culture based on overcoming challenges and sportsmanship. Football and Rugby are the national sports of Calbion. Especially Football is up and coming, with the young Calbain team doing suprisingly well in the WC qualifications and winning the first Lions Cup. It would not only give football in Calbion an enormous boost, but it would increase the diversity of micronational football to allow Calbion to be the host of an international competition. We would be honoured to welcome the FMF to our nation to enjoy together the great moments that football bring us and to celebrate international friendship and co-operation that is improved by the Beautiful Game. Calbion is ready.

Re: 2016 Confederational Host Bidding
Following the instantaneous interest in tournament hosting, and subsequent lull in the past month in submissions, the FMF has chosen to shorten the deadline for applications by four weeks to November 28th.
