Craitman wrote:Despite failing to beat Shireroth in their most recent Benacia Cup qualifier, Craitland's national side had a milestone to celebrate with their sole strike being the 400th the team has ever scored.
Captain Freddie Gaärsen's late equaliser took his personal tally to 87 as the nation's all-time leading scorer, but the forward says he won't stop there:
"I want to hit a hundred at least. I'll only be 31 by the time this summer comes around and, while I don't want to jinx it, we look to have a great shot at booking our place in Elwynn for our first Benacia Cup appearance. I've scored four in these first five qualifiers as it is, and I know I can break the ninety mark by the end if I keep it up."
The Cherry Trees FC stalwart, who has been openly gay since 2013, is also supportive of the other players challenging for his position, joking that:
"The only way I won't mind if I never score a hundred for Craitland is if Lydveldt [Jonmikeltsen] and Tim [Isrdlvarien] smash in three each every game and bring the trophy home. I could enjoy watching that from the bench."
