With Calbion knowing they would be eliminated with anything less than a win, they were determined to get a win infront of another vocal crowd in Kilkelly. Vyktory though started off the stronger side, with Jim Templar forcing the keeper into two saves in the first five minutes, initially running in behind the defence before trying to slot it back post only for the keeper to fist it behind from a corner, from which his header was straight at Aluc Jones. Calbion grew into the game, with youngster Owen Baine causing problems, even hitting the crossbar from an Andrew Lycett cross. However, the first half failed to produce a goal. The second half started off in disasterous fashion though for the host nation. Gregory Wallace's throw-in was flicked on by Templar in the box, and Kevin Arland was on hand to smash home a volley from 9 yards out into Jones' net. Calbion now needed two goals, but Vyktory were still on top, and Arland almost sealed it 10 minutes later when he rose highest from a free-kick, but his header smashed off the crossbar and was cleared away. Late on though, Vyktory were starting to sit deep and Calbion were able to ask questions. And questions of Vyktory were most certainly asked when Cedric Ross was the first to react to a spill from goalkeeper Kevin Stokes following a shot from Liam Morgan, with the Caerathon man flicking the ball into the back of the net. Vyktory would still be going through unless the hosts could muster a second goal without reply. But even as the minutes ticked down, Calbion were causing all sorts of problems. With 86 minutes gone, Calbion though they had the winner, but the assistant referee correctly adjudged Llewelyn Wyn-Jones's volley to be offside. However, in the final minute of the 3 added on, Calbion were awarded a corner. With everyone up, including keeper Aluc Jones, they made the pressure count, as Stokes' punched clearence fell to Adam Moriarty on the edge of the box, who volleyed it first time into the top right corner to send Calbion into the semi-finals. Some fans spilled on to the pitch, as the touch ended up being the final kick of the game, but the majority behaved themselves enough to celebrate Calbion's win.
Calbion 2-1 Vyktory
51' Kevin Arland
77' Cedric Ross
90'+3' Adam Moriarty
Group BBirgeshir sealed top of the group following a fairly dire draw with already eliminated Greater Sangun. Neither side really seemed to want the win in what was quite a dull affair, though Tёvrat Çıkthan did force Koji Kayakeshi into a good save early on from a free-kick. Sangun's Sakon Takahagi failed to show any composure upfront when he broke in 1-on-1, firing his shot into the stantion behind the goal. Daisuke Saeki came closest in the first half, as his shot from distance crashed against the crossbar before the rebound was put over by Kazuhiro Kiriyama. In the second period, Birgeshir started to show some dominance, and were unlucky not to lead when Hidemichi Maeno managed a fantastic clearence off the line to deny a looping effort from Nofre-Ka-U Pabasojk, who had spotted the keeper of his line. Substitute Beşim Nülsæn hit a shot from the edge of the box off the post, before Ætaňur Chanojk forced the keeper to save from a volley from close to the penalty spot. But as the game crept towards the final whistle, it seemed to fail to provide any late drama, as the game fizzled out into a goalless draw.
Birgeshir 0-0 Greater Sangun
Natopia knew they needed a win to realistically have any chance of staying in the competition. Up against them was a Zandarijn side which had impressed in their opening two games. Natopia had the better of the chances early on, as George Valéry Saint-François Xavier shot over with just eight minutes on the clock, before Club Imperiale's Ilyas Chowdhury volleyed over from the egde of the box. Cedric Alexander put a header wide before Xavier finally managed to muster a shot on target as he ran through the defence only to fire his shot straight at the Zandt goalkeeper Arjen Kleusen. It had taken a while for Zandarijn to really get into the game, but a great counter attacking move on the half-hour mark saw them register their first chance of the game, but Tom de Zyla's shot was well saved by Gaillard Concorde in the Natopia goal. The second half continued the theme of goalmouth action, as a Cedric Alexander shot from the edge of the box took a wicked deflection off of Jan de Wijnen, only for Kleusen to acrobatically flick it over the bar. However, on the hour mark, Gabriël Joors was flattened in the box under challenge from Elijah Karoly following a corner kick, and the referee decided to point to the spot. Dieter Maritzburg could only blaze the penalty over the crossbar, as the Natopians at the other end of the ground collectively released a massive sigh of relief. A game which seemed to have goals in it was remarkably not producing, until with twenty minutes left, Cedric Alexander rocketed a free-kick into the top corner from the edge of the box following a handball from Jonas van Cruyningen. But Zandarijn had the final laugh late on, as substitute Chris van der Schouw broke through late on tuck the ball in between the keeper's legs to draw his side level and send them through to the semifinals.
Natopia 1-1 Zandarijn
70' Cedric Alexander
87' Chris van der Schouw
Alexandria sealed their spot in the semifinals by dismantelling already eliminated Passio-Corum. The debutants started the game well, with Aa Siagi forcing the Alexandrian keeper Jean-Alain Foucault into a good early save. However, the Alexandrians showed why they are favourites for the title when a 25-pass move resulted in Florent Lassana-Traoré being played in before cooly slotting in to the far corner beyond Joa Oo. Les Bleus, as they are affectionately known as, doubled their lead shortly after the half-hour mark, as Javier Santos pounced on a rebound from a Tamer Modrem volley. The second half saw Alexandria continue the rout, as Modrem's through ball found Álexis Carrasco in space on the edge of the box, who cooly struck the ball into the bottom corner at the near post. The game began to fizzle out as the Alexandrian's started to sub off their key players in preperation for the semi-finals, but they had enough about them to almost seal the game late on as Javier de la Fuente struck home from just inside the box. However, it was ruled out for offside. Passio-Corum offered little at the other end, as they crashed out with a new record defeat, whilst Alexandria will face the hosts Calbion in the semi-finals.
Passio-Corum 0-3 Alexandria
17' Florent Lassana-Traoré
33' Javier Santos
57' Álexis Carrasco

Birgeshir clinched their spot in their first ever major final by scoring a single goal in the first half, with the deciding strike coming off of the left foot of Tёvrat Çıkthan after a well worked move put him in with just 16 minutes on the clock. A spirit Zandarijn side did put up a fight though, as Pavel Zenden's long range effort cannoned against the crossbar before Arjen Paats put the rebound wide. The Zandts had to put in a solid and resolute defensive display late on in the first period to prevent Birgeshir from adding to the scoresheet, as first Bebi Bælhara forced a big save from Arjen Kleusen, before Jonas van Cruyningen had to head Ætaňur Chanojk's looping effort off of the goal-line. The second period was tight, but as the game wore on and Zandarijn's need for an equaliser became more apparent, the men in orange tried to siege the Birgeshir goal. Dieter Maritzburg had a flurry of chances that he could have scored before the golden oppurtunity, as the ball riccochaded out to what was an open goal with six minutes remaining, fell to the wrong man, defender Pieter Burgemeester, who hit the bar with his volley. Birgeshir held on for a place in the final, whilst the Zandts must make do with an appearence in the third place play-off.
Birgeshir 1-0 Zandarijn
16' Tёvrat Çıkthan
The host nation came into this semi-final in hope more than in expectation of reaching the final. But the Alexandrians would prove to be difficult opponents in Kilkelly, with The Blues being 4-times champions of the tournament. And it was the Alexandrians who were on the front foot from the off, with Tamer Modrem hitting wide of the target with just five minutes on the timer, before Florent Lassana-Traoré headed over a cross from Vincent Chertrand-Pernet. Calbion took 21 minutes to register a shot on goal, when Llewelyn Wyn-Jones raced through the Alexandrian defence, but his effort was spilled on to the post by keeper Jean-Alain Foucault, with the follow-up smashed behind for a corner in a bit of no-nonscence defending by Roland Théard. But the deadlock was broken shortly after the half hour mark, as Yannick Ancelin drifted in before unleashing a shot from 25-yards out that wounded up in the top right corner beyond the outstretched hands of the goalie to give the Alexandrians the lead. That goal sprung the Alexandrians in to action, and whilst Calbion put in a splendid defensive performance, they couldn't prevent Florent Lassana-Traoré rifling home a rebound after the keeper could only parry a pot-shot from Modrem. The hosts re-grouped at the break, and almost immediately got themselves back into the match, as Andrew Lycett was left unmarked from a corner to head home at the back post. But the hosts were soon back to square one, as Tamer Modrem's long ball forward was beautifully in the stride of François Bousquet, who eliquently dinked the ball over the on-rushing goalkeeper to restore Alexandria's two goal lead. Calbion never really restarted, and as Alexandria seemed content on moving the bal around in the middle of the park, they never got a chance to get back into it. The scoreline was made harsher late on as Tamer Modrem smashed a free-kick from 25-yards into the back of the net for a deserved goal, but the hosts will have to make do with a third place play-off on Saturday against Zandarijn after being demolished here.
Alexandria 4-1 Calbion
32' Yannick Ancelin
41' Florent Lassana-Traoré
49' Andrew Lycett
57' François Bousquet
82' Tamer Modrem

Calbion gave their fans something to celebrate with a comeback victory to seal third place in their home tournament. Dieter Maritzburg's clinical finish put Zandarijn ahead in the first half, with the forward's first-time shot getting him his third goal of the championships. However, the Calbains were the better team after the break, and Llewelyn Wyn-Jones' header from a corner evaded the 'keeper and found the bottom of the net before youngster Owen Baine smashed in a deserving winner from outside the box with minutes remaining.

Boy,I must say 2015/2016 was a "blessing" for Birgeshir. Otaq won CTFA Champions League,Mëzal the CTFA Cup and now the National team has won the Final in the CiboTap Championships against a great team like Alexandria. What can I say? I'm really happy for this!
And many congrats to Calbion for the third place. Deserved.
