Senya v Ranentsi (08/07)
Senya v Ranentsi (08/07)
Senya played a much changed side from their 1-0 win over Craitland, with Jack Smith making his debut, three years after his last international match for the former Walker Democracy.
Senya started the better side, and despite playing a weaker team, were still much stronger than the part timers of Ranentsi. Domonik Ƨarkœvič played in Patrik Montol to give the hosts the lead with little over five minutes played, before a Sam Kimsin free-kick was glanced home by Mark Prën. Smith then popped up with his first international goal by pouncing on a loose ball after the keeper spilt an effort from Montol, but the Eĵars Town man kept his celebrations to a minimum, but did raise a fist to the air when he grabbed his second six minutes later with a header from a corner kick.
Senya's second half saw a few more experienced player brought on, and they made an almost immediate impact, as Barnaby Hands' long ball forward was plucked from the air by Dan Brozal, who dinked the ball over the keeper to give Senya a five-goal cushion. Ranentsi's fitness was also starting to play a major role, and as they sat back deep inside their own box, Senya were rolling the ball around like they weren't even there. The visitors' saving grace was their goalie, Beroe's Dmitri Olegushov, but he could not keep out a thunderstrike-volley from Markœ Minyorletsken with twenty minutes to go. The win was rounded off by a flurry of late goals, first as Dan Brozal played in Jack Smith for a hat-trick, before Barnaby Hands' cross was parried into his own net by the goalkeeper. Vasilii Stepanov inadvertedly played in Jan Maytek for nine and Hands once again turned provider as he found Ƨinkœ Zvet at the back post for a simple header to seal Senya's joint biggest win.
