GSK opened their international account with a strong performance and a win against fellow Keltian side Ranentsi. The hosts were perhaps unlucky not to take the lead early on when Ignas Marasy hit the post early on, before Enver Cenat headed home from a Andres Sovery cross to give his nation their first ever international goal. The visitors rarely troubled the hosts, and GSK should have scored more, had it not been for a superb goalkeeping display by Dmitri Andelyeshkov. A good debut though for GSK and a display which shows by the World Cup qualifiers they may be a bit more to contend with than just the tag of 'perennial minnows'.
