Gerenia vs. Senya (19/04)
*Played 19th April*
Gerenia 0-0 Senya
AEFA heavyweights Gerenia and Senya battled out a goalless exhibition tie which will last longer in the memory for the action in the stands rather than on the pitch. With the two nations' fierce rivalry being revisited ahead of this summer's World Cup, the infamous Senyan fans impacted this fixture from the off, with an impressive display at their end of the Gerenia Stadium causing a fug of smoke to cloak the arena ahead of kick-off. Midway through what was comparatively a dull first half football-wise, the referee was obligated to halt proceedings for a short while after a denied Senyan penalty shout, as flares interrupted any play near Režan Arkuse's area; a preview of the passionate support expected to be showcased later this year. Theatrics aside, the Senyans had the best chance of the game, finding the crossbar via Dan Brozal's flicked header, while Gerenia were seemingly the more coherent playmakers, topping possession and passing success. The two sides will enjoy having not lost to their arch nemesis, alongside the bonus of keeping a clean sheet, with both expecting to be among the favourites for the highest accolade in Micrasian football in just a matter of months' time.
