Florian Republic vs. Xang Muang (24/06)
*Played 24th June*
Florian Republic 1-1 Xang Muang
29' - A. Macabe
53' - Hồ H.A.
Xang Muang and the Florian Republic played-out a draw in both teams' respective second ever exhibition match. The Xangs' début was a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Nova English Korea six months ago, while the Florians' goalless tie against Ranentsi of last Saturday was their first step into Micrasian football.
After a strong beginning to the game, the Florian Republic took the lead with their first ever goal. Stewart Florian's overlapping run down the line forced a corner off Kong Kea Sakngea, and forward Alex Macabe was at hand to tower over the defence and put a header into the floor of the net from Dave Wheeler's whipped corner delivery. The Xangs rallied in the second half, though, and scored within ten minutes of the restart; Neasma Nimol's forward run ended with being tackled, but the ball fell to Hồ Hữu Anh, who slotted into the corner from just inside the area. While the remainder of the match was devoid of clear-cut chances, the Florian Republic recorded more complete stats and were the better team over the closing stages, as they held-out to continue an unbeaten FMF record so far.
