Re: Mercury League signings
May Wanderers have provisionally accepted a bid of Cr 7M for James Phillips. The club have said that 'we must respect the player's wishes at this time. He has said he doesn't want to speak to anyone until the season's over, so we'll just have to wait and see. We're more than happy with that offer though.'

Wilmont Fizeau-Blake rejects 'next door' move
Cook Island's Mercury international, Wilmont Fizeau-Blake has said he will never go to rivals Mercury City, after the club made a Cr 2.5m offer for him. The Mercury derby will again be on the menu this season, as both clubs were promoted to the Premier League, and the midfielder looks forward to taking City on. He told MeTV 'Unfortunately, we lost three times to them this year, but hopefully we can turn that around this season. Doing the double on them this time would be fantastic.' When asked about his international future, Fizeau-Blake was optimistic. 'I was lucky to get the chance to play in the EMU's, and very happy to play in the final, despite the result. I'll definitely put in the effort to try and make that an annual thing!'

Fizeau-Blake disspells the rumours
After Napian clubs declared their interest in Cook Island and Mercury's Wilmont Fizeau-Blake, the player put an end to the rumours, stating that his future lies with Cook Island. The club has got me where I am today, and I could never turn my back on them.

Sam Savart frustrated
Mercury Armed Forces FC's international star Sam Savart is frustrated at the team's poor performance in the Mercury Premier League. The club currently sit in 11th place, above last placed rivals Kuiper Town FC on goal difference. Savart said that he feels this is why he wasn't given more of a chance in the national side, being dropped during Mercury's run to the final of EMU '12. No Mercurian clubs have yet declared an interest in the player, but speculation is rife among supporters.

Queen Athletic searching for defender
Queen Athletic manager Stephen Coles has announced his intention to sign a defender for the club. The club have drawn three of their opening five matches, signalling to Coles that he needs to add some strength to the back line. "We can't afford to keep dropping points like this, we're clearly making enough chances, but we're allowing the opponents' chances too, and hopefully we can help that in this window." Piero Santoni of relegated Tellian side Inter Vecchiavo has been linked with the club, but no interest has been confirmed by the club.

Harfield returns to Nova England
AFC Heartpool have announced the signing of Nova England international goalkeeper Nicholas Harfield from Franciscania Athletic. The club look to have grabbed a bargain for the 25 year old, paying just Cr 1.5m for his services.
