Cräiteland 3-0 United Empire
Cräiteland stormed back to dominate United Empire after their lacklustre performance against Hurmu.
United Empire kept with the same team that lost 1-0 to Shireroth in the first group game whilst Cräiteland swapped Jim Dehbo for Yaqin Hjansen in the centre of defence.
The first half was slightly cagey, as neither team wanted to concede the first goal. Cräiteland played a passing game, with United Empire chasing them the majority of the time. The only reason the Craitish didn't attack in their usual way was the risk of being caught on the break, which they were by Hurmu in the last game. The closest either side got to breaking the deadlock was a tame Freddie Gaärsen shot which went straight into the 'keeper's arms.
The Craitish manager must have given his team a good team-talk at half-time as they scored just two minutes into the half. United Empire kicked-off but squandered possession after only a few seconds. Hanast's pressuring of Maxime Burkhardt forced the winger to misplace his pass and Gaärsen latched on. The twenty-two year-old skipped past Roman and fired a low shot into the goal with Schmitt's left leg not reacting quickly enough to make any contact.
After the opener, Cräiteland took the game by the scruff of the neck and were unlucky not to get more than three. Gaärsen hit the post with a diving header only a few minutes after scoring, but the goal wouldn't have stood if it had gone in as the linesman's flag was raised for offside. The semi-professional United Empire players seemed to not be able to keep up with the pace of the Craitish full-timers, and had their goalkeeper to thank on a couple of occasions. The game still wasn't over at 1-0 and Cräiteland made a substitution in the centre of the park with Hjaņ Herä coming off for Jón F'achh.
It was F'achh who was instrumental in the second and third Craitish goals, playing in Hanast to go one-on-one with Schmitt, with the striker coming out on top, sliding the ball into the same corner that Gaärsen put his into. F'achh also delivered the corner which was met by Tom Vorgensen's far post leap in injury time.

Hurmu 0-1 Shireroth
Didinho's first-half free-kick was enough to seal another 1-0 victory for Shireroth, and to guarantee them a spot in the quarter-finals at the first time of asking.
The Passas-based defender hit his set piece hard and low around the wall and inside Loresen's right post to make Hurmu need a good performance and a little bit of luck in the last two games of this group to reach the quarter-finals.
The game was fairly evenly-matched, with Hurmu actually getting more possession, but also conceding more fouls (one of which resulted in Didinho's fateful strike).

Hamland 1-0 Kaválos
Mearns' late appearance gives Hamland first win.
Jamie Mearns stepped off the bench with five minutes to go to sink Kaválos with a bullet header. The BäJ player came on for Marvin Locksley to give Hamland more attacking power, and his first touch went into the back of the net after he met Jules Scott's corner at the near post.
The game wasn't the most exciting before that, and looked to be heading for a scoreless draw. The best chance fell to Kwesi Themba but the youngster couldn't keep his head and blasted over from eight yards.
Mearns made an immediate impact however. Ben Craig had just won Hamland a corner as Viscariello fumbled the striker's weak shot out over the line. The Hammish manager brought off central midfielder Locksley and threw Mearns into the mix. Kaválos' defence were lost and unable to mark the 20 year-old, and he made a darting run to meet the corner from three yards out to power his header over Nsonowa Kibwe who was on the post.

Bobalania 2-4 Nova England
Kiker and Peterson share the spoils as Bobalania throw away promising half-time lead.
Bobalania continued their impressive performance from their opening game into the first half of this one, only to lose momentum and suffer a Nova English thrashing after half-time. Sam Hyeland put the reds infront after an early break, and LuÃÂs Liotta doubled the deficit halfway through the half. Hyeland scored a simple tap-in after Lee Bowie's accurate pass, thread between Slater and Cesear, found Mark Qwerty racing to the by-line. Qwerty dragged the ball back, past Matt Bailey in goal, and Hyeland knocked it into an empty net. Liotta's goal didn't take too long to materialise afterwards. The central midfielder, who was also eligible to play for Alexandria through his father, showed a bit of that Alexandrian flair when he smashed his 20-yard strike into the bottom-left corner of the Nova English goal. Again it was Qwerty who was involved, and his cross was headed out by Cesear straight to the feet of Liotta, who took one touch and then buried it with his right foot into the opposite corner of the goal. Larkin didn't even dive to try and save it.
Bobalania could have had three just before half-time if it weren't for a good block by Slater on the line, keeping out Israel's looping header. The half-time break couldn't come any sooner for Nova England who looked to be struggling in trying to cope with the energy of the Bobalanians. That Bobalanian energy was soon lost as the second kick-off was taken. Nova England must have had some stern words in that dressing room as they brought with them a new style of football. Their passing game was extraordinary and only a few were misplaced. That added with the Bobalanians burning-out, helped them seal a brilliant victory.
Ka'an Peterson proved his worth, again, by getting the ball rolling. His smoothly-finished one-on-one with Bailey after fifteen minutes of the half played showed they were out to mean business. The AFC Heartpool player doubled his tally ten minutes later with a free-kick to match Liotta's effort in the first half. As the wall jumped, he struck the ball under them, and into the bottom-right corner of Bailey's goal. This time the 'keeper did dive, but was nowhere near it.
Soon after the second Nova English goal, Callum Sorrel was injured by a terrible tackle from a clearly annoyed Billy Bobagota. The Bailey City right-back, who is usually the model of patience, lashed out at the Nova English number eight as he was tacking the ball down the left wing. Sorrel had to go off, with Alex Kiker making his first appearance in the green shirt, and Bobagota trudging off for an early shower with a straight red. Kiker, an ex-Riponian, was picked for the team through family ties after the Riponian national team was disbanded when the nation died.
The Xäiville Teflons frontman almost "did a Mearns", but hit the crossbar with his first touch; a header at the far post from the resulting free-kick from Bobagota's foul. It didn't take much longer for one of his attempts to make it over the goal line though. Peterson decided to stretch out to the left wing for the remainder of the game, in order to open up the Bobalanian defence. He managed to pull Bobbie Bailey out to him before whipping in a cross for Kiker. Kiker managed to squeeze infront of Farkle and slot home the cross on the half-volley from six yards.
Conceding another goal irked more of the Bobalanian players, and the team received four more bookings for captain Bobbie Bailey, Freddie Farkle, Lee Bowie and Mark Norman. Nova England picked-up one too, with the temperamental Clive Austonov adding another booking to the hundreds he's received before.
Kiker put the match beyond doubt with his second, and Nova England's fourth, of the half within the last five minutes. Austonov performed a nice tackle on Sam Hyeland and kept possession, laying the ball down the line to Marcus Downs. Downs skipped past Sam Ayub, and unleashed a rocket of a shot from all of 40 yards. Bobbie Bailey, in all his haste, tried to block it in the area, as it dipped, but also Matt Bailey decided to claim it. The namesake 'keeper and defender lost all communication skills and Matt Bailey flapped at the ball, hitting it onto Kiker's chest. Bailey took out his captain in his failed catch, leaving Kiker to run the ball into the net to give the 2006 World Cup fourth-placers a two goal lead.

Amokolia 3-3 Passas
http://www.megavideo.com/?v=SYBGFILR
Passas come back from 3-0 down to save some embarassment as Amokolia raised their level again and are looking strong to the Quarter Finals.
4 minutes into the game after abysmal defending by Passas after Otto van Gutenburg was gifted a goal as Marcus East was off his line, and the poor marking let him free to take a shot.
Passas tried to answer however after being stopped several times in the final third, Amokolia yet again score 17 minutes after Michael Rousille rounded his man to place it in.
And Amokolia were on a roll and it wasn't long after the third goal came, Seseln Kilmast left Oscar Hurtado in no man's land and hitting it into the far corner.
However Passas made sure that they were still in the game before the break after Philipp Sherman's shot was blocked and sent high up towards goal, with goalkeeper von Braun tipping it towards the crossbar. Dabrowski chased down the ball however Ole Kraft won the aerial battle, only heading it into the post and into his own net.
Into the second half, Passas came on strong and started getting alot more possession, moving forward into the attack and 10 minutes in, Nick Verkslamp placed an ambitious shot from just outside the box to beat Johannes von Braun to make it 3-2.
And it was Lukasz Dabrowski 3 minutes later to put it all square after making von Braun concede a corner from a close shot in a narrow angle however Verkslamp delivery was met by the villain of Interland's head to go into the net.
As the final whistle blows, Passas will finish top and Amokolia will settle for second, both proceeding to the Knockouts.

Interland 3-2 Stormark
Interland survive a late Stormarkian surge to win their first ever match in the World Cup, but it comes too little too late as the result is just a mere consolation as both teams crash out of the Group Stages.
Jerzy Golanski finally got a shot on target that went into the net after rounding goalkeeper Ragnar Mulkensson before sliding it in with no pressure.
20 minutes into the game Golanski almost powered home a second only to be slid out by Anders Laur who was consequently sent off. However it was Tadeusz Mostowny who stepped off to chip it over the keeper and into the net.
Golanski got his second just after half time after a long clearance from Lukasz gave Golanski a chance to pressurise Martin Jor who slipped off to leave Golanski the ball as well as a clear run at goal, eventually leading to Stormark finding themselves 3-0 down.
However Stormark managed to pull back a goal late after Conquistador's winger Gudhsten Patreksson manage to drift in a cross goalwards, before Jan Kepp unable to deal with it only punching it into his own net.
And the second came on the 90 minute mark after Fjalar Heidersson managed to link up with a Patreksson cross to volley it into the top corner to make it 3-2.
As Interland were clinging on at the back, Stormark went forward however the last shot from Heidersson went over. The result - Interland 3rd, Stormark 4th.
