Charter and Claims
1. Should the Charter on the Notices board be replaced with the current charter at http://ninetyone.org/mcs/DRAFT%20CHARTER%20OF%20THE%20MICRONATIONAL%20CARTOGRAPHY%20SOCIETY.pdf ? If that's the current charter, I haven't been able to find it except by archive-searching "charter". 2. There is nothin...

Engagement of the Glorious World Dictator
It has come to my attention that Craitman is now engaged. This seems like the sort of thing that calls for a worldwide party! Congratulations, Craitman!

Re: FNORD AWARDS 2012
Iain Jacobson Award for Journalism: I nominate the Batavian Post . Although they are sometimes offensive or controversial, they're also hilarious, regularly-publishing, and actually informative. Josh Coales Award for Best New Idea: I re-nominate Hesam Jahandar for Meekras . It didn't win last year, ...

Taking bets on which of them will end up being a lighthouse."Babkhan vessel. This is the ARS Eklipse of the National Naval Forces of the Republic of Ashkenatza. You are approaching me in a suspicious manner. Please divert your course."

Re: Gif?
If you Google "free gif animator", you can get one that requires zero skill to make a frame-by-frame image (basically just paste each individual frame in, and then you can save as an animation). Photoshop can also do this, although I find its interface annoying. If you actually want a video, I have ...

Oh, this is for real? I thought it was a parody of the whole Kim Jong-Il situation.

Fnord Awards 2011
Welcome to the FNORDS, the awards ceremony with the silly name that inspires a peculiar mix of pride and embarrassment in the winners. Although we meet in somber mood after the recent devastating news of Marshal Radchenko's death , I hope this joyous occasion will serve to bring some light back to t...

Re: 2011 Fnords: Judges, nominations, sponsors
I accept Montague, Daniel, Andreas, and Edgard as judges (we still have room for one more, or if not I'll be the last one), but I humbly beg Daniel to still do nominations - we need as many nominees as possible. Think of it as alerting the judges to options they may not remember, rather than pushing...

Re: 2011 Fnords: Judges, nominations, sponsors
I don't think the Fnords are a pissing contest, per se. I've never seen someone swagger around going "Worship me, I won a FNORD , people." But it's nice to get recognition for your work sometimes, and it's equally nice to get a chance to thank others and tell them how much you enjoy what they've bee...

Re: 2011 Fnords: Judges, nominations, sponsors
What's wrong with stuff that happened in 2011? This is the 2011 FNORDs, not the 2010 edition. Sorry, that was either a typo or a bad copy paste job. I meant between Dec 1 2010 and Dec 1 2011. I guess if everyone is overwhelmingly in favor of nominating Andreas for his own award I'll have to allow i...

2011 Fnords: Judges, nominations, sponsors
Most of you are familiar with the Fnords. Some of you are not. The Fnords are the MCS's annual awards ceremony to celebrate contributors to Micras-based micronationalism. Through the month of December, micronationalists like yourself nominate candidates. Over Christmas vacation, a crack team of judg...
