Re: OAM bans Micras nations
The more I look at that, the more I realize that some of these people consider themselves to be actual real literal secessionist movements that are actually literally really going to secede one day. I think this is crazy, but granted that one idea, not having time for people who are doing it for fun...

Re: Oíche Mhaith
We have a guy named Eoin in Archipelago. He's going to be freaked out when he hears about this place.
Oh, and hello from Cork. Not really since I'm visiting California for the month, but in spirit.

Re: Uantir Discussion - What is the Purpose of Government?
You were right to take your posts down, because it's impossible to argue with someone who considers his opponent to be a nonsensicle ninny who's pulling their own hair out as they shout nonsensical things in the face of common sense. I got to your analogy about the physicist and the paper, and the ...

Right...so...responding to the above: Anyway, I didn't notice you had replied till Harvey replied to your reply, so I guess this is kinda late, but: In a true free market those people, like Mike, would find that it's more profitable not to cheat the rest of the people (because, as Steve showed earli...

Re: Uantir Discussion - What is the Purpose of Government?
Yeah, I deleted them a little while after posting them on the grounds that I didn't want to get into this sort of discussion on MCS and hopefully no one had seen them yet, but I guess that didn't work. For anyone wondering, there was a discussion on the role of government in solving coordination pro...

Archipelago project
The Archipelago Project is now up and running on Bastion. It's meant as an alternative to standard micronationalism, with more focus on one-person nations, constructed cultures, and simulation. I'm afraid that against my will it ended up something of a competitor to the MCS, but our goals are differ...

Re: National Maps
Not sure what you mean by "becomes deformed". If you're using MSPaint and you're trying to stretch it, you need to make sure that you're stretching both directions equally. If the original image you're working from is 100x100, then 200x200 (equal ratio of 2) is okay, but 100x200 isn't. Even if you s...

While Ari's link is Bill's physical map, your background looks more like my physical map at http://www.raikoth.net/Quetzal/terrainmap.html

I did. They kindly obliged by divesting themselves of all of their colonies except French Guiana and a few random islands. And Scott, tell that to Britain/France back in the ol' colonialism days.

Re: Elwynn and Hurmu merged: Information on Nationality
Ohhhhhhhh....that way makes a lot more sense. It looked like it was part of his signature block or something. Phew.I believe the proclamation was issued by both Daniel, prince of Hurmu, and Erion, raes of Elwynn (who uses the style "Lord Erion of the Far Reaches")

Erion is a title now?
Do you even know who Erion was?
You've sucessfully made me even more worried than I already am.

Re: YAMO
It's not a bad idea per se, it's just a YAMO. We never needed one before we knew that there were other sectors. Now that we've met other sectors, I still don't think we need one. We already debate issues facing the entire Micras Sector in the MCS. Consider the recent Amokolia issue. We had a debate ...

Re: [Amokolia] Annexation by Elwynn
Am I wrong to think that the Raes is Head of Government, and the Prince is Head of State, and that Daniel has always been Prince of the Elw?Scott: Daniel resigned on Nov 12 as Raes of Elwynn, two months before the declaration. Daniel acted only as an Amokolian
