Re: Demon of North
weren't you in the open waters off the eastern coast? and there by no closed area guaranteeing that i passed in front of you... and it probably does make a difference, well it might. the question is when did you set up your ASW operations and travel formation? since if that was before then perhaps w...

Re: Demon of North
Well my debate point is that no my subs are not supposed to be diesel. they were supposed to use something similar to the US navy's Integrated power system also just curious what it the weapons capability on a diesel sub such as on in the charter? my subs only have 2 forward and 1 aft tube so i figu...

Re: Effectiveness, cost and useage
right but you still run into is it fair to have 5 AA guns around your camp at 20 points each and make it impossible for a bomber to attack you? or vice versa is it logical to need 50 AA guns around your camp to prevent a single bomber getting through? I think its coming down to how much of the cost ...

Re: Montague vs Andreas
so this is in port?
well in that case unless the ammunition when up you could probably beach the ships or get most of the crew off... ship would be out for the war and need major repairs (Im thinking of the US fleet after pearl harbor)

Re: Effectiveness, cost and useage
right which i understand and support but if your on the bomber side. i personally wouldnt be too thrilled losing my 1000 point bomber to a 20 point AA gun, if you know what i mean, so we might want to rethink that or specify that a 20 point AA is a danger to helicopters but not jets. and for jets yo...

Re: Montague vs Andreas
i dont think were debating the sneaking in to set up mines i think the current question is can we assume that Andreas would have been doing active sonar sweeps in front of his advancing force which would give him a decent chance of picking up the mines, not do anything about them or get past them bu...

Effectiveness, cost and useage
ok so the standard fighter is what 500? standard bomber it 1000 but standard AA is only 20. does this mean that it takes 25 AA units to take down a fighter? or does the fact that its AA give it a bonus if it happens to go against a fighter? I mean for me if i have a patriot missile launcher i would ...

Re: Montague vs Andreas
hmmmm.... that actually might be possible depending on how your searching... if you were using active sonar (pinging/echo location) you would have detected the mines... probably, monty would know where you were but if he came in range you would find him or the mines. if however you were just using p...

Re: Montague vs Andreas
yay!
but yeah only way i can think of to pick them up is with active sonar but that would give away your position/ isnt a standard movement action.

Re: Missiles
this is where we need to define use of support ships as support ships do exist to rearm VLS tubes at sea... I think... even if they dont they wouldn't be that hard to dream up/design...
