Mercury sack head coach Galbraith

Quarter-finalists Mercury have sacked coach James Galbraith after failing to reach the final four stage. Despite a second place finish in the 'A' Conference, the side were unable to overcome near-neighbours and 'B' Conference promotees Nova English Korea, losing 3-2 after a shoot-out.

Galbraith has been with the Blizzard since their inaugural season in 2014, leading them to promotion in the first year, then following it up with a semi-final appearance in the 2017 edition, after the tournament took a 2 year hiatus.

Mercury may look domestically for his successor, with a number of candidates under consideration, although it is doubtful that any team will want to surrender a successful coach prior to a large expansion to the MEHL.
