You could display a map of all of Micras. If the UN can, so can we.

Something like this?

Re: [Roundtable] MTO money
Can't we use a projection that doesn't shrink some parts of the map and enlarge others? In all but the bottom one, Benacia is barely visible.

You mean a projection from above?Benkern wrote:Can't we use a projection that doesn't shrink some parts of the map and enlarge others? In all but the bottom one, Benacia is barely visible.
About Benacia: Yeah, I noticed that I had cut Benacia and Keltia largely away by accident (but am too lazy to edit it).

No I mean a 'flat' projection like Mercator or whatever the MCS uses.

Meh. That's just boring.Benkern wrote:No I mean a 'flat' projection like Mercator or whatever the MCS uses.
(And I'm talking about more boring than a UN-rip off... which says a lot ).

Re: [Roundtable] MTO money
Yes, neutrality is boring I'm afraid.
We could go full UN and screw the southern hemisphere with a polar projection? Or perhaps somehow incorporate the south as well? Two discs, like those old maps:

I can't call that very neutral either. Those polar versions don't show certain continents and the two-disc version has cut off Australia.

Re: [Roundtable] MTO money
We could always go for something much simpler:

Surely we can be a bit more original.
