[Address] Ergonian aggression
Honorable delegates,
the State of Talenore has received a threat from the rogue nation called Ergonia.
Without any proof, they even admit to acting solely on rumors, Talenorian vessels are being tracked in international waters.
The government of Talenore hereby informs the rogue nation of Ergonia that any action by Ergonia against any private or public asset of the State of Talenore shall be considered an act of war and will be met with lethal force.
The State of Talenore calls upon the international community to isolate this rogue nation. All assets and citizens of Ergonia are hereby banned from Talenorian soil. Any citizens of Ergonia currently visiting or residing in Talenore are offered asylum.
I yield the floor.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
This is how Ergonia treats those that dare oppose them, with thinly veiled threats and intimidation.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
I see, President Malliki, that you have received a message from my
cousin, Directorate-General Roberto Melanje, regarding our peaceful
monitoring of your nation.
The members of the General Assembly may find this information
interesting, President Malliki, but there is probably little interest on their
part in taking further action or inquiry into something so mundane.
Monitoring, after all, is not aggression.
Our satellites are merely tracking Talenorian ship movements, from a
distance of hundreds of kilometers away in outer space, along with a
couple of our reconnaissance vessels, which will be keeping a safe distance
from your vessels, in accordance with all international regulations, while
intercepting any radio signals from them as well as snapping photographs
in the visible light as well as other electromagnetic spectrums (infrared,
ultraviolet, gamma).
That is the general extent of our activities in regards to Talenore; they
are fairly routine and common, as anyone can plainly see.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
If they are "fairly routine and common", why did you have to line them out in a private communiqué to our government? If they are "fairly routine and common", why did you have to justify them by referring to rumors? Surely routine and common actions need no further justification. The fact of the matter is that this is just the most recent step in a long line of aggressive acts toward not only Talenore, but other nations as well. Did you or did you not approach the Brettish government with a request for them to participate in the monitoring of our maritime vessels? Why is that necessary if it is just "fairly routine and common"? Am I right when I echo the suspicion of the Lord Protector of the Commonwealth of the Brettish Isles that this is probably a retaliation for our vocal opposition to your membership in this organisation, an opposition that stems from the very tendency of your so-called nation to act in this way?

Mr. Secretary-General,
I believe it is prudent for this body to investigate avenues in which to apply sanctions against Ergonia for its unwarranted and unexcused act of aggression.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
Mr. Secretary-General,
I respectfully must disagree with the Representative from Alexandria.
It is not illegal simply to monitor a nation's ships. Nor do we think it is
uncommon. Nor that it is an 'act of aggression.' Even so, our monitoring
ended on 8/11/2015. I notified the President of Talenore on that date,
8/11/2015, via private message the that monitoring had ended and that
we had nothing negative to report.
If there is any evidence that the Representative from Alexandria can
show indicating any activities beyond our peaceful monitoring mission,
which ended 8/11/2015, I would encourage the Representative to show it,
so that we can discuss whether it is truly an example of so-called aggression
from Ergonia.
If there is no such evidence, then Mr. Secretary-General, I would like to
make a motion to table this discussion.

LIES! The last recorded 'monitoring' (also known as spying and most likely preparing an invasion to annex the small city state in their Ergonian Reich!) by their pieces of metal was done on the 16th August!

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
The member from Ergonia is disowning the submarine incursion that occured on August 16?
http://bastionunion.org/forum/viewtopic ... 46#p126146
This submarine reported on activities in our dockyards, which means that it observed them from inside our territorial waters. That it after that hits a minefield is a tragic consequence of Ergonia's aggression.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
Mr. Secretary-General, Fellow Representatives:
The Representative from Jingdao has presented evidence of which
we have rapidly become aware. I regret to inform the members
of this august body that someone on the Bastion forums is pretending
to be a ship captain in the Ergonian Navy and is, through the form of
this character, making a variety of posts about supposed activities of the
Ergonian Navy. I would like to emphasize as much as possible that the
person who calls themselves "Captain Poldark" is not and has never
been a resident of Ergonia, nor have they ever been a member of the
Ergonian navy. Moreover, Ergonia has never given them any instructions
or support whatsoever. The activities of "Captain Poldark" are not the
activities of Ergonia, and nor have they ever been.

Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
I am the representative of Talenore. You deny the actions of this captain, I challenge you to prove that there is no connection between him and Ergonia. Everything I have seen so far speaks to the contrary.
Re: [Address] Ergonian aggression
Mr. Secretary-General,
Ships and men claiming to be party of the armed forces of the Independent Realm of Ergonia are threatening to disrupt the shipping lanes that boost commerce between Passio-Corum, Hamland and Alexandria. Not to mention threatening the State of Talenore which has not taken any steps to provoke this rash and pointed attempt to take Talenore by force. The State of Talenore is a peaceful member of the community of nations, being subjected to the rash judgements of an Ergonian regime hell bent on expanding at the expense of the people of Talenore.
The Empire of the Alexandrians stands strongly for the respect and preservation of each nation's sovereignty, and the respect of the laws of the seas.
If the claims by the Ergonian representative are indeed true, then I ask them to provide a complete and full explanation of the matter, and to provide evidence to back its claims up. Otherwise, this risks escalating quickly as Alexandria will not tolerate the disruption of its shipping lanes by rogue Ergonian elements.

Honorable Chairperson,
the State of Talenore thinks that an MTO Mission to the area might be of service to keeping the peace in the region. I am not making a formal motion yet, I wish to gauge the sentiments of the other member states.
