A Tough first matchup saw the Adelphio Giants hold strong despite a scare from the Knights Offense. The first quarter made the whole game seem as if the Giants would walk all over the Knights after a stunning 37 yard throw from Giants Quarterback Theodoros Hephaestus met the hands of Wide Reciever Thanos Midas on the 23 yard line who immediately took the ball back for the Giants first touchdown of the game. Bastiaan showed ambition to respond to this early touchdown but three mistakes in a row led them to a 4th down and were forced to punt the ball away. Theodoros proved he could be one of the best quarterbacks in the lead after his second throw of the game lasted another 34 yards to find a first down on the 28 yard line. From this point Theodoros took a 27 yard pass to running back Aniketos Sotiris who brought it down on 1st and Goal. quickly taken by Aniketos Sotiris the Giants found their second touchdown of the game to reach 14 unanswered points. Bastiaan found a stroke of luck from their second attempt of the game as they pushed for three consecutive 1st downs to reach the 10 yard line. The ball was taken quickly across the line by Running back Miroslav Izsák to take the game to 14-7 with 2 minutes left in the first quarter. The Giants messed up their third attempt which kept the game at 14-7 but followed with a disasterous third attempt for the Knights. With 30 seconds left in the first quarter Theodoros took the ball over the goal-line himself finishing the 1st quarter 21-7 to the Giants. The second quarter sparked hope for the Knights finding another two touchdowns both by Miroslav Izsák to take the Knights level with the Giants. Adelphio quickly responded in a bid to seperate themselves from Bastiaan as Theodoros threw for another 29 yards to find Midas behind the goal line for the Giants third touchdown of the game. This now gave Theodoros over 100 yards throwing record in this game. The Knights quickly found another touchdown this time taken over by Álmos Imre after catching a 19 yard pass from Cibrán Gabriels to take the Knights back level with the Giants 28-28. The game seemed to be heading into half time held level until Midas caught an interception on the Knights 2nd down and took the ball 53 yards for a touchdown taking the Giants ahead 35-28 at Half-time. The third quarter was a tight contest with both teams stopping each other on third downs although with 1:25 left on the clock Gintaras Spiridon kicked a field goal taking the Knights closer to the Giants 35-30. The Final quarter saw the knights push and push to get closer to the giants who were holding strong until a amazing 32 yard throw from Gabriels led Izsák for another touchdown giving the Knights a 35-38 lead for the first time in the game. What was described as a doggy touchdown in the final minute saw Midas scramble over the line to give the giants the first ever KFL Victory.
