They haven't been played yet, they start on the 30th, I was just announcing the referees for the second set. The third set will be announced after the first two matches.

Winter: 'Only winning is good enough'
Mercury captain Neil Winter has said that his side will be unhappy with anything other than winning Group B, in which they have to face Hamland, Taeland and Zandarijn. Mercury kick off their World Cup campaign on Sunday, having qualified automatically due to their runner-up finish in 2012, and Winter is confident that if they can win their group, Mercury will win the tournament. "The Hamland game is what will decide this group. If we beat them, we don't have to play Craitland in the semi, and that's very important to us."

Re: 2013 Rugby League World Cup finals
Hosts Safiria finally got off the mark in terms of World Cup points ever, as they secured an exciting draw with newcomers Birgeshir. The Safirians raced into a 12-0 lead with tries from Miles Roode and George Elric, before Zihni Senojk pulled a score back for Birgeshir. Etienne Jaures went in under the posts for Safiria, with Fehim Öňan rounding off the first half scoring, Dürsün Ertunçojk missing the conversion. In the second half, Birgeshir were the first out of the blocks, as Düňa Nadir's try helped them close the gap to just two points. Birgeshir conceded a penalty for a high tackle, giving Safiria good enough field position for Daniel Kagan to score, Doc Smith losing his 100% kicking record from the touchline. Edip Bætuhan found a gap in the corner to touch down for Birgeshir, but Ertunçojk missed for the second time, to keep his side two points behind. It became a 6-point margin, as Terra Ifrit scored her first of the competition, and Safiria looked most likely to come away with the points, but scrum-half Töros Koç had other ideas, racing 60 metres after an interception, allowing Ertunçojk to level up the scores. Ertunçojk attempted a late drop goal, but the ball sailed wide just as the hooter sounded, giving Safiria a share of the points.

Re: 2013 Rugby League World Cup finals
*played yesterday*
World Cup holders Craitland returned to the international rugby league scene after a year out, facing a North Antarctica side that they defeated 24-12 last time around. Craitland went into the lead, thanks to a benefit of the doubt decision from the video referee. Craitland looked like scoring another, but an excellent tackle from Ahmad Faraz forced Jón Klevets into touch, denying him a second try. A territorial battle raged for the majority of the first half, with North Antarctica breaking the defence to bring the score back to 6-4 at half time. North Antarctica took the lead 15 minutes into the second half, as Scott Lawson scored under the posts. With a shock result on the cards, the Napians did well to hold out the Craitish defence, but after two successive goal line drop-outs, Jón Klevets managed to find a gap in the corner for his second try. Will Mortensen missed the conversion, setting up a tense final 10. Ryan Rodriguez was frustrated to see his drop goal attempt charged down, and Mortensen missed a crucial penalty kick from 45 metres out, giving an unlikely second draw in two matches.
