FMRL announces Six Nations to replace current Four Nations
The FMRL has today announced that the Four Nations will be replaced with an expanded competition featuring six teams. The Six Nations will be played during World Cup qualification, and as such, all participating nations will therefore automatically qualify for the World Cup. The places will be awarded to teams according to the selection list below:
Each team will play each other team in the competition once, with the top two teams in the table contesting the final. The three highest-seeded teams according to the selection list will each have three home games.
As a result of this announcement, it means that the Florian Republic have qualified for the 2019 FMRL World Cup, as will the winners of tomorrow's World Cup final.
If a team occupies two spaces, then one place is awarded to the next team down in the selection list.
- FMRL Four/Six Nations holders
- FMRL World Cup holders
- FMRL World Cup hosts
- Winners of continental championships
- Micras Games holders (in MG years only)
- Highest-ranked teams in the FMRL World Rankings at the time of the World Cup qualifying draw
