This is not Glinos. This is Momiji. The two are separate, and Momiji was scrapped as a project by the MCS since, at the time, a majority of the community disapproved of the idea. Momiji was a world of my own design that was intended to be a sister planet to Micras. A place for nation's claims to spill over onto when the map became full. The GeoCities site is mine, not Bill's. Bill had nothing to do with the MCS during that time.
Notice the copyright on it? It doesn't say either Bill or the MCS.
Not to rain on the parade, but I use this map elsewhere and would appreciate it if you wouldn't use it.

Much appreciated. I'm working on some shots of Tarsica at the moment, so I may need to bother you for a little bit of info on it, if that's ok.
By the way, this may need correcting;

A link at the bottom claiming to be a map of Glinos links to the map I used. This wasn't where I got the info from, but still it may cause confusion in future.

Hmmm, interesting. Glinos doesn't mean maple. That's something Bill came up with for his Micron people. Momiji is Japanese for maple, and I came up with that from watching anime.
Are the maps of Tarsica still online? EDIT: NM, found them.
Any info you need, I have six years worth of archived MCS stuff, so it's readily accessible.

Sorry, I blame the confusion brought about by there not having been much proper centralised work on MAS, some was done in Shireroth but stuff kept changing constantly..
However even though I blame that confusion, it's most probably my fault
What kind of things are in the archives?
EDIT:

EDIT:
That was in the Shireroth MAS things1. Chrono changed to Eos (Dawn)
2. Micras (moons: Tarsica)
3. Inferia changed to Pyros (Fire)
4. Indigo
5. NI changed to Chrysos (Gold)
6. Yavin changed to Thalassa (Ocean)
7. Superial to Nephele (Cloud)
8. Monkey changed to Glinos (Maple)
9. Dyson changed to Noctis (Night)
10. Gottagobye changed to Opisthe (Hindmost)

What information do we have on the physical appearance of Tarsica as if looking at it from space?
Also, it seems Glinos' appearance according to the descriptions we have, are completely wrong, the alternate name of 'maple' supposedly came from it having a continent in the shape of the Maple leaf. All the information we have from descriptions of Glinos seem to point to Ryan's Momiji. It seems it not only needs (re)mapping, but first a basic description needs to be confirmed.

I vaguely remember that thread.
I don't remember where Bill got the name Glinos from. It's probably Greek, since that was when he was in his Telikos phase. At any rate, I don't recall it ever being made official. But he applied it to a world called Monkey, not Momiji. The original name was stupid, hence why I suggested the changes back then.
AFAIK, the list you quoted is fairly accurate. Several of those worlds featured into Bill's Chrono Trigger-type RPG Destiny thingy that I can't remember the name of....
The argument was made back then that none of them should be habitable because of the controversy it would cause. I don't know what you guys think nowadays.

Tarsica from space looks white (like our real moon) due to a thin atmosphere and a high quantity of ice. The lakes that appear at the equator are a result of the sun heating the ice just enough in that region for water to pool. It re-freezes by about 60% each night, and the daily thawing produces a fair amount of oxygen. This oxygen, though extremely thin, allows the few tiny species of flora and fauna on Tarsica to survive; such as the polar worm and Gorgon pines.
Thanks Ryan, that info is much appreciated.
I've been reading that thread, it's interesting to see the preliminary thoughts addressed in the earlier days of the Atos system's creation. And as I certainly don't want to go against any of the original rules or purposes, it helps a great deal to see their arguments for and against certain things.
We do seem to be lacking a clear description of each and every planet in the Atos system, even though it's been 3 years (I think?) since the Atos system was first created. It would be nice if we could really get stuck into the project and try our very best to get the descriptions, maps and images completed. I'm planning on rendering a 3d image for every planet in the Atos system.

it says Glinos (Maple) and there are other records of Momiji (Maple)
but it doesn't really matter too much I'll just remove the links to that map in the thread at the top of the MAS section...
It was said in shireroth that Glinos was earthlike?
we need to hammer everything out, it seems it never was (ryan if you have archives of a time when it was it would be really handy! )

No, it never was hammered out. I never could get enough people interested in the discussion to make a decision, and when I decreed something, people got mad. So I just said to PRH with it all.

I don't know if you've seen that page, but I uploaded it just in case. Feel free to copy it, since the one on the site seems to have gone missing, and I don't know how long that one will last.
The names were pretty self-explanatory, but I know there are several descriptions hanging around. I'll try and dig them up.

I knew about the tarsica description page, it's probably on MNN wiki
I joked when Tarsica bases were legalised that you could use the worms to get around
EDIT: http://www.micromaps.org/tarsica/tarsica.html
oh and btw, always wanted to ask you, was it you who made the folder that contained french labelled smilies and some purple and pink forum buttons
The folder had a very erm "odd" name, many were confused as to it's origin

Oh yes... a rather rude name indeed.
