Re: Crcket
If a sport has no organising body around here, it's either due to a lack of popularity or a lack of time, or because there's no viable possibilities of simulating realistic matches. Considering we've had some discussions about cricket over the years, but nothing's left in place now, it's probably a case of the former.
However, there are a few of us who are interested in cricket (Craitland and Novatainia used to compete for "The Cinders" ), so there's a market there, albeit small. I'm definitely considering starting a T20 league soon though, once I have a bit more free time

Re: Crcket
Well, it was a mock-up of The Ashes, due to our English and Novatainia's Australian heritages, so wouldn't have been open to anyone else anyway, even if it were still going...
Re: Crcket
They tried to bring cricket to our school once to make it popular in Scotland. You know your sport has failed when people start using the cricket ball as a football.
Re: Crcket
To participate in Micrasian sport, you have to join Micras. You can do this by going posting a topic here entitled "[Name of Nation] claim", and in the post filling out the top form from here.Ahmed wrote:Craitman wrote:If a sport has no organising body around here, it's either due to a lack of popularity or a lack of time, or because there's no viable possibilities of simulating realistic matches. The council will then vote on your claim, and if you are successful, then you will be accepted, and free to participate in sports on Micras

Keep-up, Barnaby. We've gone through that with him before (not to mention that we've been speaking via email for weeks ). Sonarland's not old enough to claim yet...
