Note that the actual war doesn't start until February.Ryan wrote:Cerulea is also conducting its first civil war. As of yet untitled.

Though, I think it's just called the Cerulean Civil War We'll name it when it's over.

Yes, the Goloni one too. Very different sort of war though.
And I'd personally say War of Jeremy's Nose (come on Jeremy, it is a piece of satire on the War of Jenkin's Ear, but I do agree that it should go down as most know it as Redoubt Island War) wasn't that big or grand a recwar. Didnt have a patch on War of Matbaaic Liberation, Circum Raynor or MWW2.
For a Lovely view on Circum Raynor however we have all our old files open from those days at www.ctulovely.uni.cc
I can give you the narrative of it too if you wish.

How on earth can it be named after an island where there was no actual fighting? Come on chaps War of Jeremy's Nose or the Gascon Campaign if you must.Lord_Montague wrote:Yes, the Goloni one too. Very different sort of war though.

It ought to be noted that the Gascon Conflict was "finished" on Shireroth's boards. It never actually ended, as far as I know...just sort of petered out.

But objectively, and the small skirmish on St Jeans Isle aside, it ended with the phased Shirerithian withdrawal and the separate peace between Bosworth and Batavia (and Interland?).

There was the Silos War between Passas and Durntkinstan, late last year, which Passas won. There was a lot of bickering involved, but it's still a war. The actual war itself was lost when the old forum was deleted, but there's still info about the war on the MicrasWiki.

Circum-Raynor War:
Undated Maps of the Front Lines and Fleet Positions immediately after the Coalition Landing and Just Prior to the Commonwealth-Woodstanic counter-offensive which forced Jeremy out of Sudentor.

@ Sai'Kar - Gascon war or whatever it ends up called was really, really pathetic. Goloni was good, but, as said, very different, and also on GSO. Don't know if that helps you or not. WW 2 was the last really good one and that was September '07 (same time as the Demon War, in fact).

Ah that's wonderful Ardashir thanks.
Hey, I rather liked the Gascon War... but the style of the Goloni War, I could never really get into.

Re: An actual discussion: recwars
Here's a curious little scrap I found on my hard-drive whilst trying to find my notes on how to survive an encounter with Antican Naval Infantry...
I think it relates to a strike that was "unattributed" at the time but was meant to support a coordinated rebel assault on the Zindarian & Ocian garrison at Fort Riposte. That was a fun little war.05 April 2008
x 6 CBU-97 Sensor Fuzed Weapon (cluster munitions) delivered by 514 Squadron against Zindarian positions near Ongo in the Taga tribal area
19 April 2008
x 4 BGM-109 (BLU-97/B Combined Effects Bomb mounted in a submunitions dispenser) against Fort Riposte
x 3 BGM-109 (1,000lb conventional warhead) to crater the adjacent airstrip
Both salvos launched from HMS Victorious

I might have lots of tidbits on my hard-disk about all the wars that I participated in and/or judged.
