Nation Name: Hoennese Realm (short form: Hoenn)
Proposed Host City: Lilycove City (水面市 Minamo-no-ichi)
Number of Stadiums/Arenas/Venues: The Lilycove 2018 bid book will provide 24 venues, all within the bounds of Ōsumi Province.

Leader: The heads of state of the Hoennese Realm are Queen Kahede and King Matsu. The head of government is Prime Minister Jirō Yamanobe of the Progressive Liberal Party.
Government: The Hoennese Realm is a constitutional dinarchy and parliamentary democracy. Power is shared between the Queen, the King, and Parliament.

Number of Sports Played: Thirty-two of the thirty-seven sports on the Micras Games programme are played in Hoenn at an amateur level. Eighteen of the sports on the Micras Games programme are played professionally in Hoenn, the most popular of which are baseball, Amorian football, and association football.

Brief history of sport in your country: Sport has formed an integral part of the Hoennese social fabric for centuries. Sumō (wrestling), gitchō (a game similar to field hockey), and kiba dakyū (a horseback form of gitchō, similar to polo) have been played in Hoenn since the times of the earliest written records.

Western sports — namely association football, cricket, rugby (at that time not split between league & union), and boxing — were introduced to Hoenn by British diplomats and their staff in the early seventh century AHC, and quickly became popular among the small island nation. Baseball and the nascent game of Amorian football were introduced by American expatriates not long afterward, and the formation of the modern Hoennese government in 632 opened the floodgates to Westerners to popularize in Hoenn the divers sports and games that they enjoy.

Why do you think you deserve to host the inaugural Micras Games?: In the twelve decades since the formation of the modern Hoennse government, Hoenn has become the sporting heart of Asia, hosting the Olympic Games in 1956 (Lilycove) and 2008 (Mauville), as well as the 2002 FIFA World Cup, in which the Rayquaza finished third; additionally, Hoenn has hosted countless regional and continental championships across various sports.

Hoenn is the only known country to exist on two worlds simultaneously, with the Wataru Yamashiro Tunnel, named after its first prime minister, providing safe and expedient linkage between the Earthly and Micran domains of the Hoennese Realm. We have dozens of world-class sporting facilities, as well as a thoroughly-developed tourism economy, buttressed by over 130,000 hotel rooms in Ōsumi Province alone. Hoenn is one of the safest countries on Earth, with a miniscule risk of crime, and an expert and approachable public safety force in the Royal and National Constabulary.

Hoenn is also known for its natural beauty, and features several natural landmarks, including the hot springs of Lavaridge and Mt. Chimney, the largest active volcano in the Yamatai archipelago. As well, the Hoennse people — both human and pokémon — are known for their harmony with nature, which reflects itself in their architecture and lifestyles, as does their desire to maintain the traditional ways that have permeated the island for untold millennia.

As the ancient capital of Hoenn, Lilycove is home to many of Asia's most popular tourist destinations, including Minamo Castle, the Shimadzu Art Collections at the National Museum of Art, the Yamatai archipelago's largest department store, and the Kimotsuke Contest Hall, home to the uniquely Hoennese passion that is the Pokémon Contest. Mt. Pyre, known for its climbing and hiking trails in all seasons, and the Queen Meiroku Safari Park are only a short train ride away, while every city in Hoenn can be reached within one hour's flight or up to three hours' train ride.

The Hoennese Realm, the darling of the Orient, seeks a grand stage upon which to formally introduce herself to Micras, and there is none grander in all the world than the inaugural Micras Games.

The Florian Republic government has decided to withdraw its bid to host the games due to economic and security issues, created by the War of Lost Brothers. Instead, the country is to host its own games and now supports Hoen's bid to host the games.

Number of Sports Played:
Of the traditional sports on the Micras Games schedule, eleven are played to either a fully professional league, or professional touring individual, standard within Jingdao, with the vast majority of the remaining sports having amateur competitions run throughout the nation with help from respective authorities

Brief history of sport in your country:
While Jingdao may be somewhat of a latecomer to the sporting scene on Micras, there are strong sporting ties throughout the nation's history, with competition often used by the ruling classes and commoners alike as means of entertainment, establishing honour and deciding feuds. Sports with militaristic and honourable origins, such as archery and combat sports, are intertwined with those that require considerable composure and technical ability, like gymnastics and table tennis, to create a thriving sports community among the Jingdaoese. In recent times, football has established itself as a unifying sport for the populace, with the ethnically diverse national team exceeding all expectations in their run to the quarter-finals of the World Cup last summer; an achievement which spurred strong enough interest for a first nationwide professional league to be founded for this season. Should the Micras Games make their way to Daocheng, the plethora of sporting talent on show would certainly bear further interest and development to fuel Jingdao's future.

Why do you think you deserve to host the inaugural Micras Games?:
Daocheng is a city of contrasts. Traditions meet modernity, rigidity meets fluidity, and stereotypes meet their maker. Forget what you think you know about Jingdao and see for yourself; the architecture, the culture, the pomp and the people who make this bustling metropolis the pulsating heart of Apollonia.

While Daocheng's atmosphere will entice visitors, we can also ensure superb logistical and functional aspects to run an incomparable games. With the expertise of our fellow USSO members on board, and willingness to make a Jingdao-hosted games an unequivocal success, our state-of-the-art venues, transport, accommodation and ticketing infrastructure will be the envy of all nations wishing to host even the smallest of similar future events. Once Daocheng is confirmed as host, our platform to fund every aspect of the games will begin in due course, and relevant updates shall be issued periodically up until the time comes for the countdown to begin on the opening ceremony in the beautiful Heavenly Light Stadium, to be situated in the sporting hub of the city, which will find future use by all residents as part of the games' legacy - a brighter future we can all hope for across Micras.

Daocheng is now open!
