The cities of the southern Strait have come under the control of the Bassarid Periphery by virtue of having been captured by organizations affiliated with the Alliance of the Bassarid Oceans, the third major member of the Bassarid Periphery. Blore Heath is now under the control of the Fleet of Blore Heath. Mylecia is controlled by a pretender to the robes of the Priestess of Agripinilla, supported by the Vine Fleet. Jogi has come under the control of Noctic Rabrev cartels who have seized upon the sudden decline of Bassarid political control in the city, rapidly expanding already significant operations in the city.

Vaeringheim and Lewisburg have both succumbed in their long struggle to prevent outbreaks of Noctic Vampirism. They both have now fallen into the hands of the Alperkin.

Pretty much all Bijaro's work has gone into BAS lately, and being so closely culturally connected is enough justification for me to be ok with this, AYE

Bijaro's put in a lot of work into the BP, and the expansion is proportional to that work. There is also the cultural Bassarid continuity to consider, which adds credibility to the claim (despite the little ports dotted around the strait). Aye.
