HRE expansion
NB: The claim image includes the reservation for independent Drag'os; should it pass, this expansion will show the disputed areas as Ralgon blue and green, as per an internal disputeCosmic Fury wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 6:48 amName & Title: Duke Nikamura Hawkins of Gondolin, Imperial Regent
E-Mail/Contact: Semaphore, using only the finest corpses as flags. Apparently, Mondo has plenty.
Nation: The Holy Ralgon Empire
Request: Two islands for IC penal colonies, and long-empty territories in the Green right next to established Ralgon lands. I've been working up to the latter claims for a long time now. Also adding a few place names. Finally, it's time to get it done.
I've had tons of activity lately for Ralgon and its constituencies, and I see this being the trend for quite a long time to come. I've got a refreshed narrative, and I'm ready to get the Ralgon Empire roaring back to life... with big changes on the side coming in part 2.Cosmic Fury wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 8:39 amUPDATE:
To reflect events going on with their succession crisis, the Adrestians and their allies in Drag'os have driven the government forces away from the coastlines and into the interior. They cannot, however, gain lasting footholds in Cibola outside of Nova Victoria, which remains under a massive naval weapons umbrella.

I've talked with Orion. Since he wants that other island off the coast, I claimed the area labelled "Inner Nixtorm" first, mostly because of the island's otherwise very awkward position near the surrounding Green. The penal colonies lack their own articles, but that'll get fixed very soon. Bomei Island is
their solution for exiled nobles, Devil's Island is a labor camp far away from the front... and anything else, really.
Other Notes:
I'm holding off on the considerable Cibola shenanigans I've got planned for part 2, as it heavily involves the reserved nation there.

Re: HRE expansion
Ralgon has been notably undersized since its voluntary losses circa 2020 and hasn't really gained anything back since, so these gains certainly bring it back up to a level more consistent with its output. As I mentioned with The Hexarchy, Shiro has a tendency to be more intermittent with his development, but always contributes a large amount in one go which makes-up for the quieter periods, so even though Ralgon has had a couple of "red" months on my checks recently, its development in the past three days is more than a lot of nations have had in total this year! The tie-in with the new project is interesting as well, and overall a more than fitting expansion for the narrative that has been created in the land in question. AYE...

Re: HRE expansion
I think expansion over multiple continents while there are multiple rebellions within the claimed territory might be a tad unrealistic for me, but size-wise it would seem reasonable if these issues could be dealt with. ABSTAIN for now.
Re: HRE expansion
Since Joe abstained, not sure if I should step in... BUT JUST IN CASE. I'd vote AYE.

Not yet. Abstentions are still a recorded "vote"; Joe would have to recuse himself to let Edgard's count

Re: HRE expansion
Even though there was a little less activity at times, but that has been made up for recently. I don't always like the borders, but that's a matter of taste. So: AYE!
