Re: Beneluccas claim
While old enough, I'd like to see more work put into at least its main wiki page before allowing this claim as-is. NAY...
Re: Beneluccas claim
I've got to disagree with you Craitman on this. Beneluccas's wiki article was started on 20 December and already has reached 4,734 bytes in length. Compare this Norrland, whom we recently accepted, who have 3,479 bytes in length since starting their article on 8 December.
The only reason that I think you're seemingly preventing this is on the grounds that Norrland added their bytes over lots of tiny edits, where as Beneluccas's bytes came in larger edits. I don't think people/nations should be penalised for larger edits. I personally prefer it as it allows me to focus on one area where possible. Many of Norrland's edits for example, are less than 50 bytes, which equates to just a sentance or two.
Note: Bytes refers to the amount of information a page has to store, ergo the larger the bytes the longer the article typically is.
I want to also clarify that I'm not saying that Norrland's claim should have been rejected, but rather that Beneluccas's claim should be accepted.
AYE.

Re: Beneluccas claim
In Crait's defence I should note that a good chunk of the present wiki content was added this morning, after he cast his vote.
Between that and the admirable cultural continuity from Flanders, I'll give this a tentative AYE.

Re: Beneluccas claim
Although most of the article is essentially just a list of nations that have previously held the islands, which is why I don't see the number of bytes as being relevant, this claim is reasonable enough for me, and the scope for expansion is fairly limited which makes me more inclined to accept it in its current state, so AYE

Re: Beneluccas claim
In response to Barnaby and his questioning of my reasoning behind nay-ing this: while I do not look at how many bytes a page has (one letter counts as a byte, unless it has a diacritic, then it's two bytes - it's arbitrary), as Krasniy stated, at the time I voted, Beneluccas' article had just 3,237 bytes on it.
I do prefer to see activity sustained over a period (hence why I rejected Ralgon's claim late last year - all they did was in the space of a few days at the start of the month), but saying that a larger number of minor edits is somehow more preferable doesn't really make sense to me.
And as I also alluded to when voting, Beneluccas only has one article on the wiki - if we are to compare them to Norrland (I'm not keen on comparing nations against one another in this way - we judge claims on the nation claiming), then Norrland have four times as many articles on the wiki already, despite being created less than a fortnight apart.
That is why I couldn't accept this in its current form. I'm glad this was taken on board by Beneluccas themselves to increase their wiki presence just in time for the rest of you to vote to accept it
