[Backstory] A bumpy ride?
Summary: Err...The conference had ended in chaos, and the representatives of attending nations had all scattered, some to attempt a form of shuttle diplomacy aimed at calming the situation, some to rally the troops and prepare for war. In the Presidential Anubis X120 heading back to the Riponian mainland, Fleet Admiral Mackintosh was briefing the President on their possible courses of action.
"...as I have said, Ma'am, Joined Forces Command has prepared for this particular eventuality, and given the situation, I honestly believe that we cannot sit back, our friends and allies our counting on us."
"I know that," the President replied, "and we shall not sit back, but this means we have a lot of work to do. Fleet Admiral, what is the status of the new Wilfrid Class destroyers?"
"They completed their final sea trials with roaring success, of particular note were the new Demeter missiles, designed as you know by Sigma Hyperion. Rear Admiral Hawes says he was particularly impressed with..."
The President cut him off, aware that time was ticking, and that Riponia's new enemies would be making their preparations for war. "And what about with regard to joining 1st Flotilla?"
"Ma'am, the RDS Wilfrid and RDS Tatiana have already joined the Flotilla, replacing the RDS Lancer and RDS Lancer and RDS Rapture, which have set sail for Aldburgh Shipyards. Two more Wilfrid Class vessels, the RDS De Grey and RDS Hutton are on their way to join the Flotilla as we speak.
"Good, and the same of 3rd Flotilla?"
"Indeed, Ma'am, four Wilfrid Class destroyers have already joined the 3rd Flotilla at Daegon. 2nd Flotilla, of course, maintains its current make up."
"Good," the President replied thoughtfully. "Fleet Admiral, I want you to go and re-join the 1st Flotilla as soon as we land, lunch notwithstanding. You will escort 1st and 2nd Army Corps to the location already arranged. 3rd Army Corps are in position already, am I correct?"
"That is correct, Ma'am."
"I, on the other hand, have some telephoning to do, see if I can find your flotilla somewhere to weigh anchor, as it were."
"Yes Ma'am," the Fleet Admiral Mackintosh replied perfunctorily. He stood up of of the chair, put on his hat, stood to attention and saluted President McCabe, before turning and walking briskly out of the President's office. Outside the door, he nodded to the two security men and carried on.

Do I detect a hint of possible peace keeping forces?
