[Backstory] I can't think of an original title
Rain poured over Northman as a black Donnet Acoco pulled up to the Military Headquarters. The city streets were eerily desolate for this time of the day. There were no busy politicians scrambling from building to building, no people in Founder's Square, and no paparazzi waiting outside the headquarters to capture a picture of the First Minister entering the building.
The Republican Star had recently published an article announcing that Passas would soon be going to war. The announcement received mixed reactions throughout the nation. Some people felt that it was to soon after the Silos War with Durntkinstan, but most felt that it was for a good cause.
A crash of thunder could be heard as Davis entered the elevator and descended two floors into the war planning room. As he entered the massive, dimly lit room, he was greeted by General Zanzworth
“What have we learned general?†asked Davis.
Zanzworth ushered him a large table at the bottom of some stairs. A large map of Micras was lit up on the table. Davis observed several points scattered across the map light up, as Zanzworth described to him the plans, and everything that had been learned in the past day and a half.
“Thank you my friend,†said Davis. “Now I have a press conference in about five minutes.â€Â
Zanzworth laughed. “Good luck,†he said.
Outside, the storm had stopped. Northman had returned to it's normal flow of things, and of course the press was waiting outside building for a comment from the Minister. He gave no comment, as he followed his body guards through the crowd back to the Acoco. The car pulled away, and headed into the city towards the Capital House, where Davis would be giving a long awaited press conference.
