Guido, just questioning that a nuclear sub of cost 0.2 can launch 16 ICBM's. I know I'm not up to date with modern military, but I should think that even one ICBM would cost as much as 1000 men (a plane under the old system), and since presumably Montague is using them as normal subs too, if our navy ever got that far, surely their cost should have been significantly higher?

It's true, anything with ICBM capability should cost a helluva lot more than 0.2 points, even if it is just a standard nuclear sub besides. ICBMs contain immense destructive power, especially in the quantities he has listed.

Sorry, but I'd like to challenge this. The SAS were inserted at night, from a high altitude. There is no way anyone could have spotted them. Request intervention from the judges.kingjosephus wrote:Edit 2: The below events in STOKE are Voided until the situation in the city is sorted out but the rest applies!
Summary: Post it in an hour!10:00- Scene of Previous Skirmish [Koranga Bush]
Josephus listened as the last rites were told to the Novatainian Soldier before him. Though this Heathen towered over him it was not all what one would think for the Heathen was tied to a cross reminiscent of the Crucifixion. The last rites finished as Colonel Simmonds held up his pistol and fired a round into the Crucified Heathen's head. The enemy tanks hadn't stayed long enough for the Artillery to fully take effect and they had retreated to Stoke.
The King turned to Sergeant Mosley 'I am deeply sorry about your loss of men Sergeant! But let this not dwell on you, remember this is a Crusade and Corporal Cook shall bear the name for those that do great deeds in this Crusade!'
Sergeant Mosley saluted and turned round starting to walk off untill he rembered something rather important 'OH yes my lord...Sightings of a massive airborne army over the bush somewhere! We don't know where abouts they landed but I suggest a move to the Highlands As soon as possable!'
Colonel Simmonds had by this time joined the conversation 'Bloody good Idea old chap! Right well I better get the troops loaded onto the trucks also using some of the Jeeps we should succed in driving the enemy towards the Pass!'
'Huzzah! Well comence this at once!' Replied Josephus.

The Special Colonial Guard pathfinder team had inched their selfs closer to the city over the past couple of days. Still looking through his binoculars towards the fine colonial City. He noted how the Novatainians had made another simply tactical mistake again. 'Corporal radio the field camp on how the enemy has spread their troops around the perimeter of the city. Bloody fools a bunch of OAPs could break through those lines.'
The Corporal silently went about with his job while the Sergeant layed transfixed upon the enemy Artillery units scattered across the city. 'Doesn't seam like we can charge in there yet with out getting blown to pieces! So we want the MRLS to start a moving barrage as in firing missiles reload and move position upon the Artillary units on the outskirts of the city. Then we want a message sent to the population of Stoke to raise up and combat the enemy that we fight! And to duck and cover from incoming artillery ' Once again the Corporal nodded and carried on with his work.
Edit:
Summary:
-1st Brigade heads to the Highlands not via the bush!
-MRLS [Multipule Rocket Launching Systems] firing at Artillery targets that my spotters have found. Also after firing they move position before firing again to avoid detection.
-5th Mech of both3rd and 4th Divisions has meet up with the Artillery, SCG and two Infantry divisions near Stoke.
-New Brittanian Citizens in Stoke required to 'Duck and Cover!'

Well try inserting them in smaller groups than 3000! For starters I may not notice them at first but when one sees a couple of blimps in the night sky who cares. But 3000 Blimps in the night sky and there is seriously something wrong! Only upon landing were they put into a secret move anyway so if you don't mid I would like to get warring again!

Thirty most mighty Raido Strategic Bombers, their huge bellies filled with in total 1,800,000 lb. of anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster bombs, escorted by 20 Valkyrie multi-role fighters armed with air-to-air misslies, flying at 50,000 feet, are on their fast and leathal way to Stoke help their New Brittania to wipe out the Novatainian forces overthere.
The 50 Stormarkian aircraft, flying at their utmost speed, soon arrive at their destination. The Raidos quickly disperse; each bomber heads to its assigned targets in and around the city and drops its leathal load on them.
Meanwhile the Valkyries patrol the skies above Stoke ready to deal with any and all possible threats.
The Viking Empire of Stormark explodes into battle. Lightning strikes!!
Summary: Fourth and Sixth Strike Wing fly to Stoke and commence high-altitude (50,000ft) bombing of the Novatainian forces overthere. In total 1,800,000 lb. of anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster bombs are dropped.
Wait a sec. 6000 lbs per bomber!!!! Sorry, but thats unrealistic. Change the ammount of bombs to something smaller.
Unfortunatly for you the ceiling of your Rapier AA missiles is 10,000 feet. My aircraft are flying at 50,000 feet. In other words, your Rapier AA missiles cannot reach My aircraft.
Furthermore, the Raido Strategic Bomber is based on the B-52H which is quite a huge plane. A B-52H can indeed carry 60,000lb of bombs which is also the reason why the nickname of the B52 is BUFF (Big Ugly Fat Fucker).
I will sent this matter to the recwar judges.

50000 feet? That's high ...
(divide by 10, multiple by 3 ....)
That's 15 km up! I didn't know you could fly that high and still call it a plane ... How can you expect any degree of accuracy from that height with that amount of bombs, surely if Lachlan and Josephus are closely engaged, you'd do massive damage to Jospehus too.
However, I don't know too much about them, but could the missiles conceivably destroy some of the bombs in mid air?
EDIT: Checked Wiki, yes, it says they can fly at 17 km up, though that sounds crazy to me. Does make me wonder though, if they planes are THAT good, should they be costed only as one aircraft? Do the Va ....
No, they go up to 23 km ...
Definetly sound worth more than a normal plane to me ....
And Guido, don't forget my sub dispute with Monty.

You obviously don't know anything about the HALO method.kingjosephus wrote:Well try inserting them in smaller groups than 3000! Firstly, the plane flies at such an altitude that it can not be seen or heard from the ground.
Secondly, the troops wait until they are VERY near the ground to open the chutes. When I say very near the ground, I mean VERY near the ground.
Add this in with the fact that it was done at night AND that there were 20 Transport Planes used, not that hard to be stealthy.

Not trying to start a constant bicker through out the war but:
Well from what I found from my Uncle [active member of the Royal Parachute reg.] is that the HALO method is commonly used for infiltrating small groups of Pathfinders and Special Forces. Yet never [Please prove me wrong] has a group of 3000 men managed to do that even at night. Remember my troops just had a Skirmish with Lachiboy's tanks but the Field camp was on high alert.
But I shall allow the Judges to decide either or not I spotted 3000 dots in the night sky. Either way the 1st Brigade was planing to move!
Also you missed part of the HALO method...The plane usually drops the men around 7 miles away from the target sight so that they don't get blown off course and makes it harder to detect the planes. [Just to help you in latter wars;)]

Right, I'm fed up of this. If every single attack we make will be complained about then what's the point, there are plenty of things we could have complained about but we haven't because we know that you'll all spurt out some terminology and a few acroynms and then we can't respond. As per usual in a recwar, the underdogs will never be anything but, because we're lacking. If none of our attacks are going to go through, and even if they do it's about four days late then there's no point is there, we might aswell not bother, so I won't. I quit, Beaugium quits, get your forces out of my country within 24 hours or there will be dramatic repercussions. Oh, and if anyone says I'm throwing my toys out of the pram then yes I probably am but they've been in long enough.

In reply to a complaint received via PM.
Babs if you wish to stop before the end of the war you must follow one of two routes:
a) Surrender Conditionally and have your conditions agreed
b) Surrender Unconditionally (should you continue with your action it will be treated as this, meaning you cant order the forces out)
c) Get a peace treaty.

I'll leave if I want to leave, I can do what I want, if I'm going to leave,it's because I'm fed up of complaints, I'm not going to do something one way because someone complained about my way.
And it's my country and I can order the troops out if I want to.
