They were declared as a special ability in his OrBat. You had plenty of time to take it up with DH.Guido Zambelis wrote:No EMP.
If those are free transport, then of course they can't be used.

The transports are actually gunships, but they can carry soldiers too.
Read the Orbat, DH has spent points on them, equipping them with weaponry and a drop bay for EMP charges and a few other goodies...

But EMPs are banned in this war. You just heard Guy say that. Plus, I would shoot them ALL down with 20 SeaTyphoons.

AND
Where does it give him the right to drop EMPs from his transport aircraft? He drops them from his raven gunships (if they can be dropped at all) but I dont think Helis can fly at 30,000 feet can they?C-130 Long Range Hercules Transports are set up for night drops and general transport of troops. Extended fuel tanks mean a trip around the globe requires no refueling.
UH-1 Iroquois Helicopters are set up for special forces style drops and insertions including long rope deployment and zip-lining.
Commanches are attack choppers armed with a vulcan cannon, and an assortment of pod-mounted AG/AA penetrator missile systems. Standard defences, including AMS systems.
Raven gunships are heavier choppers than the commanche, carrying nose and door mounted vulcan cannons, and a drop bay for heavy napalm/HE canisters. Alternatively, some carry special EMP charges, which are dropped like a regular canister, but explode in a burst of disabling EMP. Standard missile defenses like the commanche.

I can ban what I want, the charter does say 'including but not limited to'.
read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_pulse
and this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_bomb
No. Far too dodgy.
You declared EMP for the Ravens anyway, not the transport.

Can the judges rule on this matter?sovereignvikingemperor wrote:OOC:lachieboy wrote:Yes, unfortunately most of those planes would be destroyed by my AA Missiles. I'd say 20 Bombers in total and 10 Fighters if you deployed them as well. Add in the explosive effect from those bombers carrying about 1800000 lb's of explosive, I'd say there's a good chance a plane was destroyed from collateral damage.sovereignvikingemperor wrote:The Fourth and Sixth and Strike Wing of the Naval Air Service thunder, after having taken off from Aujobuurg Naval Air Base, across the sky to help the Grand Old Alliance achieve victory over the MI.
Thirty most mighty Raido Strategic Bombers, their huge bellies filled with in total 1,800,000 lb. of anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster bombs, escorted by 20 Valkyrie multi-role fighters armed with air-to-air misslies, flying at 50,000 feet, are on their fast and leathal way to Stoke help their New Brittania to wipe out the Novatainian forces overthere.
The 50 Stormarkian aircraft, flying at their utmost speed, soon arrive at their destination. The Raidos quickly disperse; each bomber heads to its assigned targets in and around the city and drops its leathal load on them.
Meanwhile the Valkyries patrol the skies above Stoke ready to deal with any and all possible threats.
The Viking Empire of Stormark explodes into battle. Lightning strikes!!
Summary: Fourth and Sixth Strike Wing fly to Stoke and commence high-altitude (50,000ft) bombing of the Novatainian forces overthere. In total 1,800,000 lb. of anti-tank and anti-personnel cluster bombs are dropped.
Wait a sec. 6000 lbs per bomber!!!! Sorry, but thats unrealistic. Change the ammount of bombs to something smaller.
Unfortunatly for you the ceiling of your Rapier AA missiles is 10,000 feet. My aircraft are flying at 50,000 feet. In other words, your Rapier AA missiles cannot reach My aircraft.
Furthermore, the Raido Strategic Bomber is based on the B-52H which is quite a huge plane. A B-52H can indeed carry 60,000lb of bombs which is also the reason why the nickname of the B52 is BUFF (Big Ugly Fat Fucker).
I will sent this matter to the recwar judges.

Yeah, Monty just God-Modded my troops. I want his actions (Apart from his death) revoked.Lord_Montague wrote:HNBMS Hood still sat in the bay as it was observed that King Joe had accepted the surrender of Novatainian land forces on the Koranga peninsula. Contrary to popular reports, the Novatainian forces had surrendered outside the city of Stoke as they had not even managed to enter into its proper outskirts. Novatainian transport ships had come to pick up their troops from Stoke's almost completely repaired docks. Montague had watched them fly the white flag of truce as they had sailed into the Stoke's docklands. He had remarked to Hastings how ridiculous it was that the only way the Novatainians had managed to enter into Stoke was being escorted by New Brittanian Army men and women. Now the ships left the docks, full of Novatainian soldiers.
"Where are they off to? Do the Port Authorities have their desintation?" asked Montague briefly and casually, not expecting anything too dramatic.
"The Port Authorities don't know, sir." replied the officer of the watch in charge of communications. Hours past as the ships sailed off until a curious report came through from SeaTyphoon 3 from the Combat Air Patrol.
"Tulip control, this is Jadefire here. Those Novatainian Transport ships are flying the Novatainian Flag again. They're not under truce anymore it appears. We've tried signalling them asking to turn back, but no reply. They're ignoring us." reported the SeaTyphoon 3. There was cause for concern on the bridge of the Hood as the report was transferred from HNBMS Tulip.
"Lord Montague, do you think that these troops could be sailing to aid their war effort elsewhere?" asked Captain Packard.
"I don't know. But I see no reason why they've put up their colours." mused Montague.
"Its up to you, sir. Shall we order the SeaTyphoons to sink them or let them go by?" asked Hastings. Hastings knew Montague was not in the mood to take chances.
"Sink them." Montague said quietly, and slightly regretfully, as he sat down in his old Admiral's chair. He heard the order being acknowledged by the Combat Air Patrol, and the carnage that would begin.

3 hours later
*******************************
HNBMS Hood still sat majestically anchored in the harbour bay of Stoke as dusk approached. The ship's company had been detailed to clean her and have her presentable should the King wish to visit her. Two SeaTyphoons, refueled and re-armed from the earlier attack on the transport convoy, flew over the ship at low level. Montague saw their afterburners flare as they flew over Stoke and off into the distance somewhere to patrol the skies around the fleet.
There was a flurry of activity behind him as reports came into the bridge. The Chief Communications Officer ran up to Hastings with a wide smile on his face. Hastings, back to his usual calm self, merely nodded and handed over a sheet of paper to Montague. It simply read "2 fleets reached Minas Sul. Permission to engage." Montague smiled. The careful positioning of fleets had paid off.
"Hastings, order the fleets to spring the trap!" shouted Montague leaping up from his chair.
"Aye, sir. Send out pre-determined order 223 to the entire fleet, Chief." ordered Hastings, as the Chief Communications Officer ran off to the command room behind the bridge.
"Captain Packard, raise anchor. Send word to the 5th Battlecruiser Squadron. Have Hieu follow us. Set sail to Port Impregnable with all available speed. We're going to have a party around Minas Sul, Emily!" shouted Montague, ecstatically happy and grabbing Captain Packard by the shoulders. However, within seconds he had faltered and stumbled backwards. The bridge crew rushed to aid him as he fell down into his seat.
"Sir, are you okay?" asked Hastings.
"Yes, just some slight dizzyness and a headache. I think I'll retire to bed early today. Have the reports of the first stage of our great battle ready by tomorrow morning. They will provide some great reading." said Montague, before being aided by Hastings to his quarters.
The next morning never came. A message was sent out to the Admiralty as HNBMS Hood and her battle squadron sailed past the Novatainian coastline with their battle ensigns at half mast. The message was simple.
Summary:Operation Hold sprung. However, it is with great regret that I inform the Admiralty that Admiral the Lord Montague died last night at 0152 hrs Lima Time from a major stroke. Mr. Paul Hastings is hereby given command of the 1st Battle Squadron and is given a battlefield commission of Vice Admiral.
Signed,
Captain Emily Packard.
10 SeaTyphoons attack the troop transports carrying Lawson's surrendered men. 20 Exocets fired at the 20 transports, before the SeaTyphoons begin to strafe them.
Operation Hold is put into effect. I have had submarine forces tracking Prodigy and Demon's naval forces since they left for Minas Sul (ask pete) so considering they've been following you I dont think the secret move is valid because they'd still be following you and they had orders to attack once you arrived at Minas Sul, which is what they now do.
HNBMS Hunter (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at 1 of Demon's Cancer class attack subs. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at the other of Demon's Cancer class attack subs. (All wire guided). Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Aries Class Destroyers.
HNBMS Killer (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Ninja. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Rogue. (all wire guided). Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Aries Class Destroyers.
HNBMS Destroyer (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Thief. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Burglar. (all wire guided). Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Aries Class Destroyers.
HNBMS Avenger (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Undetectable. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Sneaky. (all wire guided). Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Aries Class Destroyers.
HNBMS Corruptor (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Invisible. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Underyou. (all wire guided). Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Aries Class Destroyers.
HNBMS Dolphin (modified Astute Class SSN) fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at Demon's Taurus Class picket submarine. Also fires 3 Spearfish Torpedoes at CPN Rogue (for good measure ). (all wire guided) Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at CPN Whirlybird.
HNBMS Sea Lion (modified Astute Class SSN) fires off 5 Spearfish at bow of Demon's Saggitaurius Class Battleship and 1 Tigerfish at its rudder and engines. Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at CPN Dropkick.
HNBMS Piranha (modified Astute Class SSN) fires off 2 Spearfish at bow of CPN Reducto and 1 Tigerfish at its rudder and engines. Fires off 2 Spearfish at bow of CPN Destructo and 1 Tigerfish at its rudder and engines. Also fires off 16 Harpoon missiles from VLS launchers at 1 of Demon's Gemini Class cruisers.
Spearfish torpedos are one of the most powerful torpedoes in the world and when fired at ships are in most cases designed to explode directly beneath the bow, in effect breaking the back of the ship. Tigerfish are the quietest torpedos in operation and although their charge is smaller than a Spearfish, they are sometimes indetectable (especially in the heat of battle) when fired and are called Stealth Torpedoes.
HNBMS Jeremy I (modified Ohio Class SSGN), operating out of Port Impregnable, fires off 154 Advanced Cruise Missiles (modified to fire from submarines) at the two fleets' coordinates. Once the missiles reach within 30 miles of the fleet, they go to sea skimming mode and acquire targets.
HNBMS Jeremy II (modified Ohio Class SSGN), operating out of Port Impregnable, fires off 154 Advanced Cruise Missiles (modified to fire from submarines) at the two fleets' coordinates. Once the missiles reach within 30 miles of the fleet, they go to sea skimming mode and acquire targets.
HNBMS Josephus I (modified Ohio Class SSGN), operating out of Port Impregnable, fires off 154 Advanced Cruise Missiles (modified to fire from submarines) at the two fleets' coordinates. Once the missiles reach within 30 miles of the fleet, they go to sea skimming mode and acquire targets.
1st Battle Squadron sails to Minas Sul, with civilian ice breakers breaking the ice.
5th Battlecruiser Squadron has new orders (to be given to their commander soon).
HNBMS Maim (Seawolf class SSN) fires off 50 Tomahawk Cruise missiles at the Novatainian forces in Espurince.
HNBMS Hurt (Seawolf class SSN) fires off 50 Tomahawk Cruise missiles at the Novatainian forces in Fifty Elk Island.
HNBMS Injur (Seawolf class SSN) fires off 50 Tomahawk Cruise missiles at the Novatainian forces in Gideon's Landing.
HNBMS Damage (Seawolf class SSN) fires off 50 Tomahawk Cruise missiles equipped with cluster munitions just generally aimed at the city centre of Crydee.
HNBMS Harm (Seawolf class SSN) fires off 50 Tomahawk Cruise equipped with fuel air bombs as warheads at Northwarden.
Well, gentlemen (I presume there are no ladies bar Lachieboy?), this is (most likely) one of my final posts. Its been great fighting you all and its been great getting to know and work with so many of you. You're all invited to monty's funeral. Bon Chance!

Just about my submarine attack.Demon of the North wrote:
Ah Monty so nice of you to join us.
btw i feel that if you were able to find and target our subs we would have spotted yours on their approach as we had active ASW patrols 24-7. any-who
Quote:
"Sir those subs are back... their firing torpedoes."
"Damn it should have seen this coming (or did i???). All ships are free to engage at will. begin evasive maneuvering put the charges over the side." the ships began moving in all directions then the depth charges started going off not close enough to do damage mind you but they were losing tracking on their targets. then a loud ping echoed off the hull of the sub. moments later torpedoes began splashing down from above them the ASW copters were engaging. The cancer subs had seen the enemy subs appear before them moments before they fired decoys were deployed and all torpedo tubes utilized. " captain we have deployed decoys and torpedoes what are your orders?" some where behind him a crew man shouted "8 seconds until torpedo impact" a wild expression appeared on the captains face "full ahead directly at the enemy sub, well be taking a few friends with us to the locker." the torpedoes impacted the hull of the lead sub yet it kept going at least for a short time, long enough to close the distance and plow into her attacker. (assuming the sub didn't get sunk by the torpedoes at which point the sub continues on into the sea bed a few miles outside minus sul. The missile defenses had dealt with the incoming harpoon missiles without a problem though fragments had landed on a few ships some crewmen were injured.
SUMMARY: ships begin evasive maneuvers they also drop depth charges over their sides causing the torpedoes to lose targeting or be damaged. slight splash damage is taken repair teams immediately begin to seal hull ruptures and control leaking. one impacts a cruiser damage control manages to save the ship but it is low in the water also 10 missile tubes (VLS) are offline
My Copter who were airborne the entire time begin to drop torpedoes on enemy subs (located/targeted with active sonar) as do all of the destroyers except the one later. cruisers as they shoot down missiles fire torpedoes at any nearby enemy subs.
Of the subs attacked the two cancer subs unleash a total of 10 torpedoes and 2 torpedo Esq decoys (2 subs) on their attackers one luckily avoids hits by use of decoys the above mentioned and hull mounted canisters. the lead sub is however hit twice but before sinking follows the torpedoes it launched into the side of the sub attacking it. The Taurus launches many decoys and dives without attacking (note it is made to be quite, is making no screw noise and has placed decoys where it was.)
Harpoons are shot down my forces were on alert this time fragments still land on the destroyers wounding crew men also 1 155mm gun disabled and 10 VLS tubes (two separate ships)
Quote:
"Sir more missiles extreme range coming from the south." "damn alright all ships begin to move north continue engagements"
"Sir on of our destroyers is ignoring our hails they are moving southward on an intercept coarse with the missiles. a message it asks that we pull our act together sir."
SUMMARY: the destroyer fires off interceptor missiles from its VLS tubes these knock many enemy missiles out of the air (85) then as the missiles close its RAM launchers engage destroying more missiles at this point the missiles begin to search for targets and find the destroyer. the destroyer is hit by over 150 of the incoming missiles as it is the closest/only ship when they begin looking for targets needless to say there isn't even any scrap left to salvage.
as for Vilhelm between the two fleets i think we have enough defensive systems to down your missiles (at least since your engaging from so far away) same with any of Monty's that aren't shot down by or involved in raping my destroyer
Demon used active sonar, which highlights everything in the immediate area. I used wire guided torpedoes, meaning that they are controlled by a joystick (essentially) from the submarine. By having active sonars sound off, all decoys he uses are rendered useless as the active sonar gives me an accurate display of his fleet (I'm being kind as I can say I also had an accurate view of Prodigy's fleet too!). Therefore, it would be logical to assume that my torpedoes find all their targets.
Can I have the judge's opinion on this?

You did God Mod. I never specified my method of transport. Judging by the fact that there is going to be a ceasefire on this front, I was planning of having a traveling Party on a convoy back to Novatica, then on to Soro's party.

It is logical to assume that they would have been transferred out on ship, Lachie. Also, I could claim you've been godmodding lots of times by writing about actions of NB civilians etc. That's not godmodding.lachieboy wrote:You did God Mod. I never specified my method of transport. The post details my complaint. He should've been spanked harder than that, and the Reducto probably didn't fully sink-- although I will concede that it took a substantial amount of damage.Monty, how the hell would your subs be able to launch VLS missiles and NOT get hit by mine? That seems like a load of crap; if you launched missiles at me, I would have the proper targeting to hit you back with missiles. And don't say because we didn't acquire the targets in time; I realize it was a secret attack, but don't forget what North said about our ASW patrols. No way could you have gotten that many subs close enough without being spotted at some point before the first attack.
Also, I hadn't noticed that you attacked the Reducto and Destructo with torpedoes. I'm willing to let you go with destroying the mobility of the Destructo, but I highly doubt that three torpedoes have the capability to sink a battleship of it's caliber. You remember that you yourself brought up size pertaining to our OrBats. These Battleships are very much larger than the ones they are based off of; two torpedoes in the bow and one in the rudder would NOT be able to sink it THAT easily. You'd have to fire far more than that to destroy one.
