i've been MIA for a bit, and i didnt quite see the thread on the 1st and only pass yesterday.
A) i was well aware of their coming, as if bombers are seen flying overhead, they are probably dropping bombs. it helps to have said that all troops were on full alert for any possible incoming attack.
B) The only reason they had to be on a ship was so that they could have the guidance system. the system is simply on a truck instead of a boat. its really not that hard if you have the people to do it.
C) I accept the fact that the losses to the city are low, but the previous attack on Hamuji makes it just meh...... the city was already pretty much dead.
D) i am in consideration of my own losses, but seeing as how the planes would have hit Hamuji before they came to my troops, their payloads would have been spent, leaving little to nothing to drop on my troops.
E) I will be MIA until tomorrow morning, so dont expect a reply until then.
F) I am significantly more than 2, as is everyone here (i hope). please treat people as such, unless explicitly otherwise stated. courtesy is a virtue.
G) i dunno, i just wanted to put a G

I'm pretty sure you didn't say that, and as we've all learned to our cost, if you don't specify something, it isn't happening.Longbow of Tokidoki wrote:i've been MIA for a bit, and i didnt quite see the thread on the 1st and only pass yesterday.

Yes, they need the guidance system which a truck doesn't have. You also didn't specify any modifications to the system that would allow it to operate off-ship.B) The only reason they had to be on a ship was so that they could have the guidance system. the system is simply on a truck instead of a boat. its really not that hard if you have the people to do it.
The previous attack was on Government buildings, radar stations etc. Your troops weren't there at the time, so the previous attack bears no relation to anything aside from the fact that you don't have the assistance of radar, airports etc.C) I accept the fact that the losses to the city are low, but the previous attack on Hamuji makes it just meh...... the city was already pretty much dead.
The aircraft were directly attacking your troops, hamuji itself wasn't attacked, seeing as we're more or less returning the 'favour' of not attacking civilians, so bomb bays would have been full by the time we reached you. A) i did say on full alert for any possible attackLongbow of Tokidoki wrote:summary: all units deploy north and west of hamuji, making a perimeter around the city, on full alert for any possible attack. All units ready for march sir.
Then on my mark..... Mark.
The general grinned as he looked at the horizon. this would be fun.
B) i stated the modifications just as much as you guys did. they have the mods. face it.
D) sorry: i misread your post, i will take that into consideration
E) apparently it does not matter tho, as Amos apparently destroyed all of my troops near hamuji????????? of all the times to go camping......
so it may be a bit before revised casualties are posted, as i will have to take both attacks into consideration.

I don't think he should've. You weren't here to respond under the 24 hr rule, and you did say that you would be unavailable, so I think you should have a bit more time. That's my belief.

A) Apparently you did.
B) Your Orbat did not specify any modifications to the RAM system, therefore there is no reason to suggest that those modifications were made. We didn't make any modifications, AFAIK, not least because almost everything we use is Riponian-own (aircraft, ships, most missiles), and there are full specifications available.
C) You missed out C
D) Righto
E) If you asked for the 24 hour rule to be extended in this instance, then I'm quite sure we can reach some compromise on that second attack.

From the official thread:
OOC: Firstly, it's up to Amos to grant an extension, seeing as all it is is him doing you a favour, so if you want to have a hope in hell of him accepting, that's probably not the way to go about it.Longbow of Tokidoki wrote:I request an extension on the 24 hour rule, to allow for a reply to the attack, as the post quoted above was not seen until now. all the time i have had within the past 2 days has been away from home, and had enough time for a post or two. And i will say that if the request is granted, your planes are blown out of the sky. 20000 feet isn't enough.Amos wrote:under 24 rule:
All military presence in or around Hamuji is destroyed.
Secondly, it's a bit late to request it _after_ it's been invoked. If you requested beforehand, then I'm sure it would have been accepted without issue. If you did, as I have said, then we can reach a compromise I'm sure.
Thirdly his planes would be quite safe. Your stingers are effective up to a maximum altitude of 12,500 feet. Your RAMs are useless as we've established (like I said, a little bit of a 'Dugobert' on your part ), the Hellfires are S-S. Oh, and you have no radar.

I think Amos' damages for that last attack ("everything dies") are too high. I think your damages for the first attack ("nothing dies") are too low. Judging the size of both attacks, and the fact that you can't stop them for the reasons I've stipulated a number of times above, both attacks should incur heavy losses on your side. Not, perhaps, quite as heavy as "everything dies" for both attacks, but you won't have masses left after such a bombardment.
