NO NOT EXCEPT FOR THEM.
As to the battle; Riponia: you must be clear in what you are attacking - your point about intel is good, but then you could say 'my intel thought you were babkhan so i posted that we attacked the babkhans, you ignored it and now you're all dead'. Get my point? Therefore I rule in favour (just) of Nova. You may, if you wish, reset your troops to where they were before the incident, or you may continue regardless.

Ack. That was kind of unexpected.
I'd backed off, edited my ranting posts, (I'd become the very thing I hated! ) and even sent an apology PM to Iehova...
Okay. I hope we can run this shindig straight from here on out. I'd like to think that anyone on the MI side won't submit another complaint without good (and I mean good) cause.

"I fought the law, and the law won..."Why is it me who always has to tell them to stop whining like kids?
Hang on, I appreciate you've 'made your ruling', as it were, but considering the initial post saidGuido Zambelis wrote:As to the battle; Riponia: you must be clear in what you are attacking - your point about intel is good, but then you could say 'my intel thought you were babkhan so i posted that we attacked the babkhans, you ignored it and now you're all dead'. ...and considering that there was only one infantry assault, and only one air assault, on all of New North Mehlville, let alone Ziffton, surely that means it's pretty clear which one we're talking about...? I mean, it's not like it can be mistaken with another assault, given that there isn't one...50 of my fighters take off from their (previously secret) position at Ziffton, 30 armed with air to air missiles fly to engage the Tokidokian aircraft incoming on that city, and 20 armed with air-to-ground missiles move to attack the incoming Tokidokian infantry assault.

re:
Look its very common for a capital to be defended. We've never had to post an orbat for it before - its just something that cities are equiped with. Stop crying about it.Apparently not. He has some extra Orbat for city defences, its just back on his site, in a forum that is locked to outsiders.
Like our Civil Defence Charter, in the war room. Apparently we can use that as justification for fighting without an army stationed there.

Does that mean every single damn commander has to include 1000 troops to man odds and ends? Can we not just assume they're a given, like transport ships?

No. Because there would be no limits on what you could claim was already there.
Think about it locially, if it's part of the army (it fires things), then it's part of the army (it fires things in conjunction with other units in the army). You can't have random units dotted about, because they would then not be under anyone's control

re:
Why does it have to be part of the Orbat? This seriously raises questions - cities have defenses too, especially capitals.
