In regards to Monty's counter attack:
SeaTyphoons are spotted, support call into the anti-air units which now double time it to the rest of the army. First SeaTyphoons reaches the army at the same time as the Anti-Air Units. It drops its bomb before getting shot at by AA guns, it chooses to bug out. Second one gets hit before dropping bomb.
15 Artillery Units Damaged beyond repair
5 Damaged, repairs underway
15 Dead, 100 Injured but receiving treatment from the medics
Now my actions
SummerySir Lawson watched the scene from his Command HQ. "God damn it, where is my air support..." he thought to himself as he watched more enemy shells landing in an artillery position.
=="Sir! Lt. Holden here, shelling complete. The docks are destroyed."==
"Finally, some good news!" cried Sir Lawson jumping up from his chair. "Major, issue the order, we're taking stoke."
"Yes Sir" replied the major as he picked up his radio.
"...and get me my mix tape. I want to listen to some Edwin Starr now..." continued the general, who began humming the tune to 'War!'

NB Bushland
It was quiet ever since the AA guns left in a hurry half a day ago. And the Coronel didn't like it. It was quiet, to quiet...
"Sir! Reports from HQ. The attack on stoke is proceeding. We might actually have a chan-"
It was at this moment that one of the tanks ran over a mine.
"Son of a...OPEN FIRE! SHOOT ANYTHING THAT MOVES!"
The troops outside Stoke begin their attack. the 2nd Battalion fights more fiercly as many members had family in Walla Wallup.
1st Tank Battalion run into the Ambush, have orders to shoot all enemy contacts.
OOC: Firstly, my SeaTyphoons are on a carrier sitting in the harbour bay of Stoke along with the rest of my fleet. Now, its going to take them less than 10 minutes to begin their attacks especially if I have a 10 plane CAP up at all times. So, your AA units would need to be within 10 minutes of Stoke and from the way your post makes it look, they're a bit further away than 10 minutes. Plus, they also strafe your troops. You cant change my orders or the behaviour of my planes.
Secondly, anything that dared to activate a radar when my planes were attacking would have been destroyed by HARM missiles. So I expect specific radar casualties.
Thirdly, cluster munitions do a hell of a lot of damage when firing upon artillery because artillery positions are usually mobile and therefore dont have that many defensive positions.
And lastly, I have had my entire fleet fire their guns at your positions for 2 hours. These ships have had the luxury of pinpoint accuracy thanks to counter artillery radar as well as being guided by spotters on the ground (joe's troops).
Let me give you an example, HNBMS Hood has slighly modified BL 15 inch Mark I guns. These guns have a rate of fire of 2 per minute as standard (regardless of the efficiency of the gun crew). So just from one gun thats, 240 shells. Add the fact that HNBMS Hood has 8 15-inch guns, this means that HNBMS Hood alone has fired off 1,920 15-inch HE shells at your positions.
My other ships are armed with 4.5 inch guns, which have a rate of fire of 25 rounds per minute. Now I had 7 ships (I believe thats right, isn't it? correct me if I'm wrong) firing their 4.5 inch guns at you for 2 hours. 25 rounds per minute across 7 ships is 175 rounds per minute from those ships. So over two hours, that's 21,000 shells in total fired at you (not including the Hood's shells).
I think your casualties need to be a bit higher don't you? And this is going the judges just to make sure too.
Can the judges give their thoughts?

I'll post here so I don't dirty the war thread
1) Joe wouldn't have gotten there yet as he was a days march away when the attack started. So Monty can't rely on spotters on the ground. (Its the same situation as that battle near ambassador during the Matbaa war, just a role reversal)
2) True, the rest of the army was far away, but it was about half a days march with the infantry. Now since the AA guns (which are on the back mobile launchers which are FAST) they could easily make it there quicker. However I accept it couldn't be 10 mins, so I'll accept both SeaTyphoons dropped their payloads and BEGAN to strafe when the AA Guns appeared. The AA Guns would then open fire, now if I remember correctly, that's 50 Rapier Anti-Air Defence systems along with targeting equipment. So if we assume they only got off one shot each, that's still 50 SAM's for only two SeaTyphoons. So they're both gone.
So I'll change the casualties to 30 dead, 145 injured, but receiving medical attention.

Rapiers don't need radar.
Heat-seeking, wire-guided. Take your pick. The Rapier Anti-Air units could use any of those methods. So its back to 50 Anti Air missiles vs your 2 little choppers.
As for shelling, my damages are quite reasonable considering you are 10 miles away without any way to spot targets on the ground.

COUNTER ARTILLERY RADAR!!!!!!!!
I HAVE EXPLAINED IT A NUMBER OF TIMES AND I WILL NOT DO SO AGAIN
SeaTyphoons are planes actually. Plus, if i'm being picky I could have the rapier's swatted out of the sky by Type 45 anti-missile defences. And if I'm being even pickier, I'll point out that rapier has very bad stats against low flying aircraft as well as having problems because its wire guided. Now I'd love to see the operators of rapier try and control a missile and get a successful hit against a supersonic SeaTyphoon.

Counter Artillery Radar. Oh yes, because it is so easy to be able to pick up ground based units, are able to determine that they are in fact units and not other large objects like houses, and this is assuming that the area around stoke for a few miles to the ocean is COMPLETLY flat. Sorry, but without units to help spot the targets, its impossible to be very accurate. My losses were based on the fact that out of those thousands of shots, some will find their target randomly.

Counter Artillery Radar plots the trajectory of a shell fired from an artillery gun and then computes where it was fired from, giving an accurate position of where the gun that fired it is. Its not exactly new either being around since WWII. In fact, it was teh first thing the yanks used the computer for.
Your guns were not in the city either.

And the information of the trajectory was gather from which ground units. Oh! that's right. Joe's WHO WERE NOT THERE YET!
Also, we may not be in the city center, but we're not exactly in the middle of nowhere. Think suburbs.

Judges, I'm going to sleep now. But I'll be back tomorrow to counter any arguments Monty has offered then. So please don't make a decision until I get back. I promise I'll be on the MCS as soon as I wake up!

Yep. I am also familiar with the *sympathy five* and the *face five.*
I'm going to head off to bed too, though, but Lachlan is pretty adamant about this. Sorry. The judges'll sort things out, one way or the other.
By the way, I'm assuming operation hidden bite involves guerillas, am I correct?
