Colonel Vilhelm wrote:Zombies don't make sense. I've read the Zombie Survival Guide and I found it a very enjoyable read but unbelievable. How do they work? Biologically it doesn't work. What, do they not need blood or something? Why wouldn't they just eat each other? Humans are considered the most civilised animal, and we even eat each other when necessary.Swamp Candle wrote:You are both foolish unbelievers. Even assuming they "don't feel pain" or whatever (hence why you could shoot one in the arm and it wouldn't do shit), I return to the biological argument in that you could shoot one in the chest or leg and it would die of blood loss.
Still, I find the most believable zombies to be those found in the film 28 days later. At least then they're portrayed a) very much like animals in their speed etc. b) they're not stupidly invincible and die from starvation.
At school I tried to work out how a zombie might work... it involved separate respiratory systems for all necessary muscles, but then found difficulty in how they would eat... until i thought about each muscle having a separate digestive system, but then zombies would have to rub food on themselves rather than eating it...
also they would have huge respiratory and digestive systems on every muscle for god's sake! they'd look stupidly retarded
leading to the realization that all "zombies" are just retards like jess who don't understand pain and wander the streets brainlessy
so jess is a zombie, as are big brother watchers

If that was how it worked, the old riddle "A rooster lays an egg - which way does it roll?" becomes less interesting.dr-spangle wrote:and they would be there to start with because the situation said they were there, then physics took hold

Yeah... I think of these things as physics simulations, you pause it, set the conditions up and then start physics again
