it doesn't have to be digged in the 'normal way' (cut the trees, remove roots and then dig), trees can be removed with surrounding ground and placed somewhere else

Note: more effort, less able to be done by machines, more expense. keep digging

Spangle, any fire-proofing of Australia is going to take alot of time and money, so shut it and stop arguing with pawel.

Fire proof what needs fire proofing.
Don't build towns on the verge of forests, leave a good gap, not just a couple meters but a decent space, maybe a field?
