Re: The Day the Music Died
I love it how something as simple as Michael Jackson dying turns into a moral debate involving starving children and disease.

Like good ol' Uncle Joe once said: one death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.

Well i don't see any thread on here about world poverty, nor is it mentioned on every news programme for days on end. In my eyes Michael Jackson's life isn't worth more than any other.

All I did was to bring up a possible explanation as to why we might not have had the same impression about the media reaction to the death of Michael Jackson as compared to the death of millions due to starvation. That is, differing media priorities from country to country.
There is no reason to attack me like this.
Also, I'm sure you are referring to my semi-troll in the Ocia-reunification-and-then-not in the Claims section, right? I did that because that'd give me the chance to address the very serious (and relevant in the context) issue of micronationalists being very bad debaters due to their consistent abuse of ad hominem tactics.

Re: The Day the Music Died
Calling you a dumbass was sarcasm. The ad nauseum part was not. You say most use ad hominem, which is true, but only partially. Most of the time it goes from ad hominem to ad nauseum by the time it reaches page 2 or 3. In my opinion anyway. Sometimes the debates can be somewhat enlightening, but often they just get pathetic and turn into mud-slinging, which nauseates me because people boast their "maturity" like a 10-foot tall trophy. I would say it nauseates a lot of other people here too lol. Though Craitman usually does a good job of stopping it before it becomes out of control and ridiculous (unless of course its amusing).
