Micronational "Wall of Remembrance"
As it's that time of the year again when many of us, particularly those of us in Europe, the Commonwealth or the USA, remember the countless millions who've died in conflicts since 1914 I've come up with an idea.
Although amongst Micronationalists there's always a degree of disagreement about various things I feel that many of us are united in remembrance of those who helped to secure a world in which we are free to sit and waste our time infront of a computer screen for hours on end. Therefore in Nova England i've created a "Wall of Remembrance" to list the relatives of Micronationalists who have passed away in various conflicts down the years and I'd like to invite the whole community to contribute. The thread can be found here: http://novumengland.proboards.com/index ... thread=388
If anyone knows of relatives (or friends) of theirs who has died in a real-life war and would like to join us in our communal act of Remembrance then either respond to their thread or PM me any details and I'll update the list accordingly.
While this is a rarely-ventured-into realm of community and sharing for many of us I thought it was quite a nice idea. Communities across the world are uniting in remembrance and appreciation so I don't see why we here should be indifferent to it.
(Incidentally, if anyone from a Commonwealth Realm is trying to find any further details about a relative who died in either World War, you might find this useful: http://www.cwgc.org/debt_of_honour.asp )
