Downtime
You may have noticed we've been down for the past couple days
Craitman went on holiday in Cornwall
Becca (Artz) and I went on holiday to Paris
The hosting ran out, and they had received payment for more, but apparently the payment just bounced?
anyways I paid for another month hosting

Re: Downtime
You might want to change the godaddy email from mine, I have your receipt if you want it forwarded?

Re: Downtime
hmmm what is the situation with paying? It doesn't seem right to me that one person should have to pay for our enjoyment and benefit. What is the situation with paying for this site?
Thanks for making a payment Spangle

Re: Downtime
Aeons ago we had discussed establishing a public account which people could contribute to, but no-one (at the time) was able to contribute, since most people lacked credit cards and wanted to send money orders or cheques via mail. That's not a safe way to send money, and contributions really need to be made via credit or debit card.
It might be a good idea to bring that back. Something could be set up via PayPal.

Re: Downtime
Ever since I read the small print on my PayPal account I've refused to use it. Huge scam.
Otherwise this is a public service and I don't think extending the financial burden to others in the community is very fair.
Besides, the entire contents of my bank account belong to Wetherspoons already.
Seems right to me. If you join the admin council then maybe you should contribute.hmmm what is the situation with paying? It doesn't seem right to me that one person should have to pay for our enjoyment and benefit.

Re: Downtime
You make a good point. Also it may make the operation slightly difficult has people would start demanding certain things as a "shareholder". Although i think setting up an account for "donations" to the hosting would atleast allow others the opportunity to contribute.Seems right to me. If you join the admin council then maybe you should contribute.

Re: Downtime
Marvellous timing for the hosting to run-out, eh?
At least it's sorted for the month (big thank'ee, Spangle) and we have some time to arrange whatever needs to be done...

Re: Downtime
That's probably the best thing to do; would definitely save money. I'm sure we could sort something for other people willing to pay hosting being able to get money to you as well...
