Yeh, and it clashes too much for Oscland, much more than with Elwynn and Hurmu..

Red's a lot more legible on Oscland's colour than it is Elwynn's...

Just tested it out and it definitely isn't... If you're going to have rules keep them consistant.

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Got it on my screen infront of me and I can read it perfectly, as opposed to the red on Hurmu (which I've justed changed to yellow to rectify the problem). I'm trying to keep the consistency, hence why I've changed Oscland's regional borders to black and the text to red...
Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Erm, FYI, but I didn't realize how different colors looked on different screens till I switched to a Mac. What used to look perfect on my old IBM looks horrible on my Mac. So, depending on the systems you're both using, you both could be right.

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Both the computer at work and my nice new snazzy laptop at home both look the same, and the red really doesn't go well with the dark green, so I'd be great if it could be kept goldy yellow...
You would have thought they could have at least standardised colour output on monitors...

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
My laptop's less than a year old and runs Windows 7, and the red-on-green looks fine, but if thy eyes do burn, yellow it is
The colour thing's ridiculous. Half the time (I don't know whether it's different versions of Paint, or the uploader used, or whatever) submitted claims come-out with all the colours darker than on the map, which if you don't notice when adding it, look horrible when updated!

Thank you, greatly appreciated!
The version of windows 7 paint is different to the older ones, so I wonder if there's something going on when you open a file made on an old vr. with a new vr, or vice versa. You could perhaps try a different program that uses hex colours

The same used to happen on my old XP computer as well thoughOscar Direzione wrote:The version of windows 7 paint is different to the older ones, so I wonder if there's something going on when you open a file made on an old vr. with a new vr, or vice versa.
I've got used to it now, it's not too much of a worry and it makes me focus more on what I'm doing anyway, so we get decent map updates
