Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Nice, we've got a big ugly block of text across Oscland. Not your fault of course, just inconsiderate of the other. May I request that this somehow gets cleaned up in the next update? A certain amount of overlap is acceptable, but not that much!
Also, I've noticed Josh is hardly around now, and has been absent for longer than 2 weeks. To this extent, should a new cartographer be assigned, in which I case I'd be more than willing to help.

Well, it is quite a long name. There's not really anywhere I can move it to without it impeding on something, but I'll see what I can do.Oscar Direzione wrote:Nice, we've got a big ugly block of text across Oscland. As for Spangle, I'll bring-up the matter in the Council and I believe we'll probably start looking for a new Council member soon enough

True, but surely it should be down to the nation in hand to order their text accordingly rather than inpeding on someone else's territory?
Thanks though!

For example, their text has gone over one of our national parks, completely removing it from the map.

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
If the two claims are submitted at the same time, then there's very little they can do about it. Oscland wasn't on the map when they claimed and the name they used was already there as a ruin. In fact, they lost land due to an overlap with Oscland's claim, but were fine with doing so. There's no loss to Oscland in this, it's only a label; the land underneath still belongs to you.Oscar Direzione wrote:True, but surely it should be down to the nation in hand to order their text accordingly rather than inpeding on someone else's territory?
Like I said, I'll see what I can do...

Okay, last comment: Oscland's claim was accepted first and therefore should take priority.Craitman wrote:If the two claims are submitted at the same time, then there's very little they can do about it. It did take priority, hence why Sirocco's claim was reduced accordingly. There's bigger label overlaps on the map, by the way

Doesn't make it okay - Oscland's nature reserves are as important as its cities, but you wouldn't wipe a city of the map...Craitman wrote:It did take priority, hence why Sirocco's claim was reduced accordingly. There's bigger label overlaps on the map, by the way

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
I wouldn't (saying that, I didn't include one of the cities in Zealandia's Apollonian expansion due to its name being incomplete), which is why the name of Sirocco's city overrode the nameless Osclandish park symbol. The next map's not gonna come any faster the more you go-on about it. If possible, it'll be changed on the next update - which should be next weekend...

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
It is for Oscland, as Oscland is a very nature oriented nation with a lot of its culture based on this premise.
Anyway, I'm very sorry for ever bothering you, you clearly have a very busy schedule.

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Then you should be happy next weekend when the map's updated again.
Not busy in the slightest. Always got the time to listen to complaints about the map, regardless of how big, or small, they may be. Just I'm not going to do a one-off special midweek map update for something which isn't a glaring and genuine mistake
EDIT: Managed to rearrange it so it all fits-in nicely and the national park is shown. I've also corrected all the colour errors in Oscland (changed to the right ones for cities/borders), so those'll all be on next weekend's update...

Thank you. What do you mean by colour errors?Craitman wrote: EDIT: Managed to rearrange it so it all fits-in nicely and the national park is shown. I've also corrected all the colour errors in Oscland (changed to the right ones for cities/borders), so those'll all be on next weekend's update...

Re: Update 14.5.0 Claims/Paint
Regional borders must be black and city names red, unless it clashes too much (like Shireroth's red, Aran's pink, etc)
